الشَّرَابْ الطَّهُورْ
The Purest Drink
En

Standing

يَا نَبِي سَلَامْ عَلَيْكَ
يَا رَسُولْ سَلَامْ عَلَيْكَ
yā nabī salām ʿalayka
yā rasūl salām ʿalayka
O Prophet! Peace be upon you
O Messenger! Peace be upon you
يَا حَبِيبْ سَلَامْ عَلَيْكَ
صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ
yā ḥabīb salām ʿalayka
ṣalawātu Allahi ʿalayka
Beloved of Allāh! Peace be upon you
May Allāh’s Blessings be upon you
قَدْ بَدَتْ أَنْوَارُ أَحْمَدْ
فِي الوُجُودِ تَتَوَقَّدْ
qad badat anwāru aḥmad
fīl wujūdi tatawaqqad
The illuminations of Aḥmad have become manifest
In existence, resplendent
فَالسَّمَوَاتُ أَضَاءَتْ
وَالْأَرَاضِيْ بِمُحَمَّدْ
fas samawātu aḍā’at
wal arāḍiy bimuḥammad
The heavens and all the lands
Are luminous through Muḥammad
حَلَّ سَعْدٌ وَفَخَارٌ
وَعَطَاءٌ مَالَهُ حَدْ
ḥalla saʿdun wafakhārun
waʿaṭā’un mālahu ḥad
Jubilation and nobility have descended,
And largesse that has no restriction
رَحْمَةُ الرَّحْمَنِ طَهَ
ذُخْرُنَا هُنَا وَفِي غَدْ
raḥmatur raḥmani ṭaha
dhukhrunā hunā wafī ghad
The mercy of the Entirely Merciful is Ṭaha,
Our treasure now and tomorrow –
يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بِلِوَاءٍ
تَحْتَهُ مَنْ كَانَ وَحَّدْ
yawma ya’tī biliwā’in
taḥtahu man kāna waḥḥad
The day he will carry the standard
With those who affirm Divine unity beneath it:
آدَمٌ وَالرُّسْلُ طُرّاً
يَا لَهُ وَاللَّهِ سُؤْدَدْ
ādamun war ruslu ṭurran
yā lahu wa Allahi su’dad
Adam and every Messenger without exception
For him, by Allāh, will be all eminence and distinction
وَمَـقَامُ الحَمْدِ أَسْمَـى
وَبِهِ طَهَ تَفَرَّدْ
wamaqāmul ḥamdi asmā
wabihi ṭaha tafarrad
And the exalted station of praise
Will be for him exclusively
فَلَنَا الْعِزُّ بِطَهَ
وَلَنَا الْفَخْرُ الْمُؤَبَّدْ
falanal ʿizzu biṭaha
walanal fakhrul muabbad
Through Ṭaha we receive nobility,
And through him we attain everlasting honour
رَبِّ فَاجْمَعْنَا جَمِيعَاً
فِيْ الْجِنَانِ نَتَخَلَّدْ
rabbi faj maʿnā jamīʿāan
fiyil jināni natakhallad
O my Lord, gather us together
In paradise forever.
رَبِّ فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوبِي
بِبَرْكَةِ الْهَادِيْ مُحَمَّدْ
rabbi fagh fir liy dhunūbī
bibarkatil hādiy muḥammad
O my Lord, forgive my sins
By the blessing of the Guide, Muḥammad
رِفْقَةُ الْمُخْتَارِ أَحْمَدْ
خَاتَمُ الرُّسْلِ الْمُمَجَّدْ
rifqatul mukhtāri aḥmad
khātamur ruslil mumajjad
Grant us the company of Aḥmad, the chosen,
The resplendent seal of the Messengers
وَبِهِ هَبْنَا الْمَوَاهِبْ
وَارْضَ عَنَّا بِمُحَمَّدْ
wabihi habnal mawāhib
war ḍa ʿannā bimuḥammad
By him grant us Divine largesse,
And, by Muḥammad, be satisfied with us
وَانْصُرِ الْحَقَّ وَأَهْلَهْ
بِالصَّفَا وَالْأُنْسِ نَسْعَدْ
wan ṣuril ḥaqqa wa ahlah
biṣ ṣafā wal unsi nasʿad
Assist the truth and its champions
With sincerity and solace – that he will be content
صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَى مُحَمَّدْ
صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْه وَسَلَّمْ
ṣalla Allah ʿalā muḥammad
ṣalla Allah ʿalayh wasallam
O Allāh, send Your Mercy upon Muḥammad
O Allāh, send Your Mercy and Peace upon him
نَصْرَ رَايَاتِ حَبِيْبِكْ
فِي جَمِيْعِ الْأَرْضِ نَشْهَدْ
naṣra rāyāti ḥabiybik
fī jamiyʿil arḍi nashhad
May we witness the succour of the banners of your beloved
Throughout the entire world
رَغْمَ طَاغٍ وَكَفُورٍ
لِصَرِيْحِ الْحَقِّ يَجْحَدْ
raghma ṭāghin wakafūrin
liṣariyḥil ḥaqqi yajḥad
Despite the opposition of the tyrant and rejecter
Who renounces the clear and evident truth
وَاخْتِمِ الْعُمْرَ بَحُسْنَى
وَيَقِيْنٍ حِيْنَ يَنْفَدْ
wakh timil ʿumra baḥusnā
wayaqiynin ḥiyna yanfad
Culminate my life, when I die,
With goodness, excellence and certainty of faith
صَلِّ يَا رَبِّ وَسَلِّمْ
عَلَى النَّبِي وَآلِهْ بِلَا عَدْ
ṣalli yā rabbi wasallim
ʿalan nabī wa ālih bilā ʿad
Send Salutations, my Lord, and Peace
Upon the Prophet and his family without end
