الشَّرَابْ الطَّهُورْ
The Purest Drink

Chapter 2

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهْ وَعَلىَ آلِهْ
Allahumma ṣalli wasallim wabārik ʿalayh waʿala ālih
Oh Allāh, send Your mercy, peace and blessings upon him and his Family
الـحَمْدُ لِلـرَحْمَنِ أَرْسَلَ بِالْهُدَى
وَدِينِ حَقٍّ مُصْطَفَاهُ أَحْمَدَا
alḥamdu lilraḥmani arsala bil huda
wadīni ḥaqqin muṣṭafāhu aḥmadā
All praise is for the Entirely Merciful who sent His chosen one, Aḥmad
With guidance and the true faith
وَلَهُ انْتَقَى مِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَمَجَّدَا
وَلَمْ يُعَظِّمْ مِثْلَ طَهَ أَحَدَا
walahun taqā min khalqihi wamajjadā
walam yuʿaẓẓim mithla ṭaha aḥadā
He has elected and magnified him from among all creation,
And He has not revered and dignified any of the like of Ṭaha
فَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي مَنَّ بِهِ
فَبِهِ اِعْتَلَيْنَا وَحَوَيْنَـا سُؤْدَدَا
fal ḥamdu lillāhil ladhī manna bihi
fabihi iʿtalaynā waḥawaynā su’dadā
Therefore, all praise belongs to Allāh, who favoured [us] by him
Through him we are honoured and through him we claim sovereignty and eminence
أَرْسَلَهُ فِينَا بِرَحْمَتِهِ الَّتِىْ
عَظُمَتْ فَحُزْنَا مَنْزِلاً مُتَفَرِّدَا
arsalahu fīnā biraḥmatihil lati’
ʿaẓumat faḥuznā manzilan mutafarridā
He sent him among us by His inestimable mercy,
And we have attained an incomparable station
إِخْتَارَهُ وَهُوَ المُعَظَّمُ شَأْنَهُ
وَهُوَ الشَّفِيعُ الأَعْظَمُ الْأَسْنَى غَدَا
ikhtārahu wahuwal muʿaẓẓamu sha’nahu
wahuwash shafīʿul aʿẓamul asnā ghadā
He elected him – his status is immense –
And he is the supreme, resplendent intercessor of tomorrow
وَلَهُ لِوَاءُ الـحَمْدِ تَحْتَ ظِلَالِهِ
رُسُلُ الإِلَهِ وَكُلُّ مَنْ قَدْ وَحَّدَا
walahu liwā’ul ḥamdi taḥta ẓilālihi
rusulul ilahi wakullu man qad waḥḥadā
To him belongs the standard of praise. Under its shade are the Messengers of Allāh,
And all those who affirm Divine unity
وَمَقَامُهُ المَحْمُودُ وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ
فَالْحَمْدُ لِلْـرَّحْمَنِ دَأْباً سَرْمَدَا
wamaqāmuhul maḥmūdu wahuwa muḥammadun
fal ḥamdu lilrraḥmani da’ban sarmadā
His position is praiseworthy – and he is Muḥammad (the praised one) –
And all praise belongs to the Entirely Merciful, perpetually and for all eternity
يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ وَآلِهِ
وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ وَمَنْ بِهَدْيِهِمُ اقْتَدَى
yā rabbi ṣalli ʿalan nabiyyi wa ālihi
wal mursalīna waman bihadyihimuq tadā
My Lord send salutations upon the Prophet, his household,
The Messengers and those who follow their guidance
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهْ وَعَلىَ آلِهْ
Allahumma ṣalli wasallim wabārik ʿalayh waʿala ālih
