A glance of favor, O neighbors of the noble sanctuary,

O possessors of generosity and bounty

We are neighbors of the Sacred Precinct of Mecca,

The Sanctuary of excellence and goodness

We are from a people who dwelt therein,

And within it found safety from their fears

We are a people who devoted themselves to the Quran,

So be gentle with us, O brother of frailty

We know the Batha valley and it knows us

And al-Safa and the Holy House are familiar with us

Likewise the Cemetery of Mu'alla and al-Khaif in Mina

So know this with certainty

For us, the best of all creation is a forefather,

And 'Ali al-Murtada is our noble lineage

And to the two grandsons we trace our descent

A lineage free from all blemish

How many a leader has it produced

Masters, known by this distinction,

And with this description they have been described

Since the past, to this very day

Like ʿAlī Zayn al-ʿĀbidīn,

And his son al-Baqir, the best of Saints,

And the Imam al-Sadiq, the possessor of praiseworthy traits

And 'Ali, possessor of certitude

They are the people who were rightly guided;

And by the grace of Allah they have attained felicity

They sought none other than Allah,

And remained inseparable from the Qur’an.

The pure Family of the Chosen Prophet,

They are the security of the earth, remember this

They are likened to radiant stars,

Just as it has been reported in the Prophetic traditions

They are ships of salvation:

When you fear the flood of every harm,

Seek refuge within them, do not turn away;

And hold fast to Allah and seek His assistance

My Lord, benefit us through their blessings

And guide us to goodness by their sanctity,

And cause us to die upon their way,

Safe and protected from trials

Do not be deluded by your lineage,

Nor be content with saying "My father was",

Instead follow, in guidance, the best of Prophets

Ahmad, the guide to the Prophetic way

For He is the Seal of Prophets,

And the leader of the Pious folk,

The speaker for all the obedient slaves,

And the best of those whose help is sought on Judgment Day

May the blessings of Allah, the Possessor of Bounty,

Envelop the Chosen one, the great banner of guidance,

As long as caravans travel to the sanctuary,

And lovers yearn for their home,

And likewise, upon the noble Prophetic Household,

And upon his knowledgeable companions,

And upon his wise followers,

And those of intellect and deep discernment
