الـلَّـيْـلَـة عِـنْـدَكُـم عِـيـد
Tonight Is a Celebration With You

الـلَّـيْـلَـةَ عِـنْـدَكُـمْ عِـيـدْ يَـا الْأَحْـبَـابِـي
مَـوْلِـدْ رَسُـولِ الـلـه خَـيْـرِ الْـبَـرِيَّـةِ
al laylata ʿindakum ʿīd yal aḥbābī
mawlid rasūlillāh khayril bariyyati
Tonight with you is a celebration, O beloved ones,
The birth of the Messenger, the best of creation.
يَـا زَائِـرَ الْـمُـصْـطَـفَـى سَـلِّـمْ عَـلَـيْـهِـمْ
تَـسْـوَى الْـعُـمْـرَ كُـلَّـهُ شَـمَّـةٌ أَيْـدِيـهِـمْ
yā zā’iral muṣṭafā sallim ʿalayhim
taswal ʿumra kullahu shammatun aydīhim
O visitor of the Chosen One, send him greetings,
A single touch of their blessed hands outweighs a lifetime.
يَـا زَائِـرًا لِـلْـبَـقِـيـعِ سَـلِّـمْ عَـلَـيْـهِـمْ
تَـسْـوَى الْـعُـمْـرَ كُـلَّـهُ شَـمَّـةٌ أَيْـدِيـهِـمْ
yā zā’iran lilbaqīʿi sallim ʿalayhim
taswal ʿumra kullahu shammatun aydīhim
O visitor to al-Baqīʿ, send them greetings,
A single touch of their blessed hands outweighs a lifetime.
يَـا زَائِـرًا لِـلْـغَـنَّـاءْ سَـلِّـمْ عَـلَـيْـهِـمْ
تَـسْـوَى الْـعُـمْـرَ كُـلَّـهُ شَـمَّـةٌ أَيْـدِيـهِـمْ
yā zā’iran lilghannā’ sallim ʿalayhim
taswal ʿumra kullahu shammatun aydīhim
O visitor to al-Ghannāʾ, send them greetings
A single touch of their blessed hands outweighs a lifetime.
حَـمْـزَةْ يَـا أَبَـا عُـمَـارَةَ أَسَـدْ عَـلَـيْـهِـمْ
أَبَـا الـزَّهْـرَاء جَـدُّنَـا يَـا الْـهَـاشِـمِـيَّـةَ
ḥamzah yā abā ʿumārata asad ʿalayhim
abaz zahrā’ jaddunā yal hāshimiyyata
Ḥamzah, O Abū ʿUmārah, lion among them,
O grandfather of Fāṭimah al-Zahrāʾ, O noble Hāshimī!
الـلَّـيْـلَـةَ عِـنْـدَكُـمْ عِـيـدْ يَـا الْأَحْـبَـابِـي
مَـوْلِـدْ رَسُـولِ الـلـه خَـيْـرِ الْـبَـرِيَّـةِ
al laylata ʿindakum ʿīd yal aḥbābī
mawlid rasūlillāh khayril bariyyati
Tonight with you is a celebration, O beloved ones,
The birth of the Messenger, the best of creation.
اِسْـمَـعْ مَـدْحَ طٰـهَ وَاتْـبَـعْ كَـلَامَـهْ
يَـا الْـمُـحِـبُّ أَنَـا أُعْـطِـيـكَ أَكْـبَـرَ عَـلَامَـةْ
ismaʿ madḥa ṭāha wat baʿ kalāmah
yal muḥibbu anā uʿṭīka akbara ʿalāmah
Listen to the praise of Ṭāhā, follow his words,
O lover, I give you the greatest of signs:
تَـلْـقَـى الـنَّـبِـيَّ وَاقِـفْ يَـوْمَ الْـقِـيَـامَـةْ
عَـلَـى الْـكَـوْثَـرِ يُـنَـادِيـ: يَـا الْـمُـحِـبُّ لِـي
talqan nabiyya wāqif yawmal qiyāmah
ʿalal kawthari yunādī yal muḥibbu lī
You will meet the Prophet standing on the Day of Judgement,
At al-Kawthar he will call out: “O lover, come to me.”
