فَزَّازِيَّة
Fazzaziyya
En

(ر) حرف الراء

قَدْ ضَاءَ فِي فَلَكِ الكَمَـالِ النُّورُ
qad ḍā’a fī falakil kamālin nūru
The light has shone within the sphere of perfection
بِثَنَاءِ خَيْرِ الرُّسْلِ حِينَ يَدُورُ
bithanā’i khayrir rusli ḥīna yadūru
Through the praise of the best of Messengers as it revolves
يَا مَنْ حَلَا فِيهِ لَهُ التَّكْرِيرُ
yā man ḥalā fīhi lahut takrīru
O you for whom repetition of his mention has become sweet
ذِكْرُ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ الـمَشْهُورُ
بَيْنَ الأَنَامِ وَدِينُهُ الـمَنْصُورُ
dhikrun nabiyyi muḥammadinal mashhūru
baynal anāmi wadīnuhul manṣūru
The mention of the Prophet Muhammad is renowned
among mankind, and his religion is ever-victorious
أَسْدَى النَّبِيُّ إِلَى الأَنَامِ مَنَائِحاً
asdan nabiyyu ilal anāmi manā’iḥan
The Prophet has bestowed bounties upon all of creation
مِنْهَا الَّذِي أَضْحَى وَأَمْسَى مَادِحاً
minhal ladhī aḍḥā wa amsā mādiḥan
Of which there are those who praise him morning and evening
دَعْنِي أَقُولُ مُصَابِحاً وَمُرَاوِحاً
daʿnī aqūlu muṣābiḥan wamurāwiḥan
Let me speak, in the early morning and at the close of day
ذَرْنِي أُؤَلِّفُ فِي النَّبِيِّ مَدَائِحاً
عَنْهَا تَخَلَّفَ دُعْبُلٌ وَجَرِيرُ
dharnī uallifu fīn nabiyyi madā’iḥan
ʿanhā takhallafa duʿbulun wajarīru
Leave me to compose panegyrics for the Prophet
surpassing those of Du’bul and Jarir
فَامْدَحْ مَدَائِحَهُ بِهِ فِي نَشْرِهَا
fam daḥ madā’iḥahu bihi fī nashrihā
So extol his praises as they are spread abroad
وَافْخَرْ بِجَوْهَرِ نَظْمِهَا وَبِنَثْرِهَا
waf khar bijawhari naẓmihā wabinathrihā
And take pride in the jewels of its verse and its prose
وَلتَعْلُ مِقْدَاراً بِغَالِي دُرِّهَا
waltaʿlu miqdāran bighālī durrihā
And may your rank rise through its precious pearls
ذِكْرِي مَنَاقِبُ أَحْمَدٍ فَبِذِكْرِهَا
يَتَشَرَّفُ الـمَنْظُومُ وَالـمَنْثُورُ
dhikrī manāqibu aḥmadin fabidhikrihā
yatasharraful manẓūmu wal manthūru
My remembrance is of Ahmad's virtues, for by their mention
both verse and prose are duly honored
قَدْ جَلَّ إِفْضَالُ النَّبِيِّ وَفَضْلُهُ
qad jalla ifḍālun nabiyyi wafaḍluhu
Indeed, the Prophet's bounty and merit are most sublime
وَعَلَا عَلَى أَهْلِ الكَمَـالِ مَحَلُّهُ
waʿalā ʿalā ahlil kamāli maḥalluhu
And his station has risen above all people of perfection
فَرْدُ الـجَلَالَةِ ذُو الـجَلالِ يُـجِلُّهُ
fardul jalālati dhūl jalāli yujilluhu
Unique in majesty, the Lord of Majesty exalts him
ذُو رُتْبَةٍ عِنْدَ الإِلَـٰهِ فَكَمْ لَهُ
فِي حَضْرَةِ القُدْسِ الشَّرِيفِ حُضُورُ
dhū rutbatin ʿindal ilāhi fakam lahu
fī ḥaḍratil qudsish sharīfi ḥuḍūru
He holds a rank with God; how often has he
been present in the Noble Holy Presence
فَاصْدَعْ بِوَصْفِكَ فِي شَمَـائِلِ أَحْمَدٍ
faṣ daʿ biwaṣfika fī shamā’ili aḥmadin
So proclaim your description of Ahmad’s noble traits
وَاصْدَعْ بِهِ مُتَرَنِّمـاً بِتَرَدُّدٍ
waṣ daʿ bihi mutaranniman bitaraddudin
And declare it, chanting with rhythmic repetition
مَنْ ذَا لَهُ فَضْلٌ كَفَضْلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
man dhā lahu faḍlun kafaḍli muḥammadin
Who is there that possesses merit like that of Muhammad?
ذَادَ الأَنَامَ مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ مَوْرِدٍ
لِلْنَّارِ فِيهِ تَغَيُّظٌ وَزَفِيرُ
dhādal anāma muḥammadun ʿan mawridin
lilnnāri fīhi taghayyuẓun wazafīru
Muhammad has warded mankind away from a path
to the Fire, wherein is raging and groaning
ذَاكَ الـحَبِيبُ أَتَى الكِتَابُ بِشَرْحِهِ
dhākal ḥabību atal kitābu bisharḥihi
That is the Beloved, whose description the Book has brought
وَبِنَصْرِهِ النَّصْرُ العَزِيزُ وَفَتْحِهِ
wabinaṣrihin naṣrul ʿazīzu wafatḥihi
And with his aid comes mighty victory and triumph
ذَاكَ الَّذِي يَـهْدِي بِغَايَةِ نُصْحِهِ
dhākal ladhī yahdī bighāyati nuṣḥihi
That is the one who guides with the utmost of sincere counsel
ذَاكَ النَّبِيُّ أَتَى القُرْآنُ بِمَدْحِهِ
سُوَراً فَبَاعُ الشِّعْرِ فِيهِ قَصِيرُ
dhākan nabiyyu atal qurānu bimadḥihi
suwaran fabāʿush shiʿri fīhi qaṣīru
That is the Prophet whose praise the Quran brought in surahs
and before him the reach of poetry falls short
إنِّي أَقُولُ بِقَوْلِ رَاجٍ طَامِعٍ
ānnī aqūlu biqawli rājin ṭāmiʿin
I speak with the words of one hopeful and yearning
مُتَوَسِّلاً بِأَجَلِّ دَاعٍ جَامِعٍ
mutawassilan bi ajalli dāʿin jāmiʿin
Seeking intercession through the most sublime and all-encompassing Caller
مُتَطَفِّلاً تَطْفِيلَ ظَامٍ جَائِعٍ
mutaṭaffilan taṭfīla ẓāmin jā’iʿin
Approaching as a humble guest, like the longing of the thirsty and hungry
ذَنْبِي عَظِيمٌ وَهْوَ أَعْظَمُ شَافِعٍ
عِنْدِي لِكُلِّ عَظِيمَةٍ مَذْخُورُ
dhanbī ʿaẓīmun wahwa aʿẓamu shāfiʿin
ʿindī likulli ʿaẓīmatin madhkhūru
My sin is great, but he is the greatest of intercessors
reserved for me against every grave calamity
إنِّي نَـهَـارَ العَرْضِ أَرْجُو يَوْمَئِذْ
ānnī nahāral ʿarḍi arjū yawma’idh
On the Day of Display, I hope on that day
مِنْهُ الشَّفَاعَةَ فِي خَلَاصِي حِينَئِذْ
minhush shafāʿata fī khalāṣī ḥīna’idh
For his intercession to be my salvation at that time
لِأُعَدَّ فِي النَّاجِينَ لَا فِيمَنْ أُخِذْ
liuʿadda fīn nājīna lā fīman ukhidh
So that I may be counted among the saved, not those seized
ذُلِّي شَفِيعِي فِي النُّشُورِ إِلَيْهِ إِذْ
يُـلْـقَى إِلَيَّ كِتَابِيَ الـمَنْشُورُ
dhullī shafīʿī fīn nushūri ilayhi idh
yulqā ilayya kitābiyal manshūru
My lowliness is my intercessor to him upon the Resurrection
when my recorded book is cast before me
فِي كُلِّ كَتْمٍ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَجَهْرَةٍ
fī kulli katmin lilnnabiyyi wajahratin
In every secret and public state of the Prophet
سِرٌّ عَظِيمٌ فِي كَمَـالِ سَرِيرَةٍ
sirrun ʿaẓīmun fī kamāli sarīratin
Is a great secret within his perfect inner essence
قَوْلِي هُنَا كَأَلِـيَّـةٍ مَبْرُورُةٍ
qawlī hunā ka aliyyatin mabrūrutin
My words here are like an oath most pious and fulfilled
ذُخْرِي النَّبِيُّ إِذَا انْفَرَدْتُ بِحُفْرَةٍ
سُؤْلَايَ فِيهَا مُنْكَرٌ وَنَكِيرُ
dhukhrīn nabiyyu idhan faradtu biḥufratin
su’lāya fīhā munkarun wanakīru
The Prophet is my treasure when I am alone in the grave
as Munkar and Nakir come to question me
رُوحِي بِرَوْحِ مَدِيـحِهِ طُوبَى لَـهَا
rūḥī birawḥi madīḥihi ṭūbā lahā
My soul finds rest in the fragrance of his praise, blessed is it
طَابَتْ وَقَدْ رَجَعَتْ بِذَاكَ لِأَصْلِهَا
ṭābat waqad rajaʿat bidhāka liaṣlihā
It has become pure and returned thereby to its origin
نِلْتُ السَّعَادَةَ يَا هَنَايَ بِوَصْلِهَا
niltus saʿādata yā hanāya biwaṣlihā
I have attained bliss, O my joy, through this connection
ذِهْنِي الـمُصَمِّمُ بِالشَّهَادَةِ كُلِّهَا
وَبِأَنَّ أَحْمَدَ شَاهِدٌ وَنَذِيرُ
dhihnīl muṣammimu bish shahādati kullihā
wabianna aḥmada shāhidun wanadhīru
My mind is resolved upon the entirety of the Testimony
and that Ahmad is a witness and a warner
لِي مُهْجَةٌ قَدْ جَلَّلَتْهَا بَـهْجَةٌ
lī muhjatun qad jallalathā bahjatun
I possess a soul that radiance has enveloped
وَعَلَتْ لَدَيْـهَا بِالـمَدَائِحِ رِفْعَةٌ
waʿalat ladayhā bil madā’iḥi rifʿatun
And through these praises, its status has been elevated
أَذْنَبْتُ لَكِنْ مِدْحَتِي لِي جُنَّةٌ
adhnabtu lakin midḥatī lī junnatun
I have sinned, but my panegyric is a shield for me
ذَنْباً وَلِي مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّي جَنَّةٌ
حَفَّ الضِّيَاءُ بِأَهْلِهَا وَالنُّورُ
dhanban walī min faḍli rabbī jannatun
ḥaffaḍ ḍiyā’u bi ahlihā wan nūru
Against sin, and from my Lord’s grace I hope for a Garden
whose people are surrounded by radiance and light
