Fazzaziyya
En

(خ) حرف الـخاء

قِفْ وَاسْتَفِقْ يَا مَنْ لَدَيْهِ رُسُوخُ
qif was tafiq yā man ladayhi rusūkhu
Stop and awaken, O you who possess firm rootedness
فِي شُعْلَةٍ لِلْوَجْدِ لَيْسَ تَبُوحُ
fī shuʿlatin lilwajdi laysa tabūḥu
In a flame of ecstasy that does not disclose its secret
هَذا الـحِمَى يَا عَاشِقِينَ أَنِيخُوا
hadhal ḥimā yā ʿāshiqīna anīkhū
This is the sanctuary, O lovers, kneel your mounts
حَادِي الـمُطِيِّ عَلَى الغُوَيْرِ مُنِيخُ
يَتْلُو مَنَاقِبَ أَحْمَدٍ فَأَصِيخُوا
ḥādīl muṭiyyi ʿalal ghuwayri munīkhu
yatlū manāqiba aḥmadin fa aṣīkhū
The camel-driver kneels the mounts at al-Ghuwayr
Reciting the virtues of Ahmad, so listen closely
تِلكَ الـمَنَاقِبُ مَنْ يَقُومُ بِحِفْظِهَا
tilkal manāqibu man yaqūmu biḥifẓihā
Those virtues, who can undertake their preservation?
إِلَّا بِعَيْنِ عِنَايَةٍ وَبِلَحْظِهَا
illā biʿayni ʿināyatin wabilaḥẓihā
Except by the eye of divine care and its glance
أَحْسِنْ بِأَمْدَاحِ الـحَبِيبِ وَحَظِّهَا
aḥsin bi amdāḥil ḥabībi waḥaẓẓihā
How excellent are the praises of the Beloved and their portion
حَسُنَتْ مَدَائِحُهُ فَغَايَةُ لَفْظِهَا
مُتَوَاجِدٌ مِنْ شَوْقِهِ وَصَرِيخُ
ḥasunat madā’iḥuhu faghāyatu lafẓihā
mutawājidun min shawqihi waṣarīkhu
His praises are beautiful, and the peak of their expression
Is one in ecstasy from longing, crying out
أَكْرِمْ بِهِ صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ مَاجِدَا
akrim bihi ṣallū ʿalayhi mājidā
How noble is he! Invoke blessings upon him, the glorious
وَلَقَدْ بَدَا يَوْمَ الوِلَادَةِ سَاجِدَا
walaqad badā yawmal wilādati sājidā
Indeed, he appeared on the day of birth prostrating
مُتَوَجِّهاً لِـلَّـهِ فِيهِ مُـجَاهِدَا
mutawajjihan lillāhi fīhi mujāhidā
Turning toward Allah, striving therein
حِيزَتْ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا فَأَعْرَضَ زَاهِدَا
فِيهَا لَهُ عَمَّـا حَوَتْهُ شُمُوخُ
ḥīzat lahud dunyā fa aʿraḍa zāhidā
fīhā lahu ʿammā ḥawathu shumūkhu
The world was gathered for him, yet he turned away in asceticism
Possessing a loftiness above all it contains
وَهْوَ الرَّفِيعُ القَدْرِ وَهْوَ الـمُبْتَدَا
wahwar rafīʿul qadri wahwal mubtadā
He is of exalted rank, and he is the beginning
فِي خَلْقِهِ وَهْوَ الأَخِيرُ تَوَلُّدَا
fī khalqihi wahwal akhīru tawalludā
In his creation, though he is the last in birth
هَادِي الأَنَامِ جَـمِيعِهِمْ لَـمَّـا بَدَا
hādīl anāmi jamīʿihim lammā badā
Guide of all mankind when he appeared
حَسَمَ الضَّلَالَةَ بِالـحُسَامِ فَلِلْهُدَى
عَقْدٌ صَحِيحٌ غَيْرُهُ الـمَفْسُوخُ
ḥasamaḍ ḍalālata bil ḥusāmi falilhudā
ʿaqdun ṣaḥīḥun ghayruhul mafsūkhu
He severed misguidance with the sword, so for guidance
There is a sound covenant, while others are annulled
وَاللهِ مَا بَرَأَ الـمُهَيْمِنُ مِثْلَهُ
wa Allahi mā bara’al muhayminu mithlahu
By Allah, the All-Protecting created none like him
حَقّاً وَفَضَّلَ مَـجْدَهُ وَأَجَلَّهُ
ḥaqqan wafaḍḍala majdahu wa ajallahu
Truly, and He favored his glory and exalted it
وَأَطَابَ مَـحْتِدَهُ وَأَصَّلَ أَصْلَهُ
wa aṭāba maḥtidahu wa aṣṣala aṣlahu
He made pure his lineage and firmly established his origin
حَازَ الفَخَارَ وَكُلُّ شَرْعٍ قَبْلَهُ
فَبِشَرْعِهِ وَكِتَابِهِ مَنْسُوخُ
ḥāzal fakhāra wakullu sharʿin qablahu
fabisharʿihi wakitābihi mansūkhu
He attained all pride, and every law before him
Is by his law and his Book abrogated
مَا فَازَ إِلَّا دَاخِلٌ مِنْ بَابِهِ
mā fāza illā dākhilun min bābihi
None has triumphed except he who enters through his door
بُشْرَى لِـمَـاشٍ تَـحْتَ ظِلِّ رِكَابِهِ
bushrā limāshin taḥta ẓilli rikābihi
Glad tidings to those walking beneath the shadow of his mount
قَدْ جَاءَنَا نُورٌ بِنُورِ كِتَابِهِ
qad jā’anā nūrun binūri kitābihi
A light has come to us with the light of his Book
حِكَمـاً رَوَيْنَا عَنْ كَرِيمِ جَنَابِهِ
حُزْنَا العُلُومَ بِـهَا فَنَحْنُ رُسُوخُ
ḥikaman rawaynā ʿan karīmi janābihi
ḥuznal ʿulūma bihā fanaḥnu rusūkhu
Wisdoms we narrated from his noble presence
Through them we gained sciences, for we are firmly rooted
قَد أَسْعَدَ اللهُ النَّبِيَّ وَنَسْلَهُ
qad asʿada Allahun nabiyya wanaslahu
Allah has blessed the Prophet and his progeny
وَبِطِيبِهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنٌ طَيَّبَ أَهْلَهُ
wabiṭībihir raḥmānun ṭayyaba ahlahu
And by his fragrance, the All-Merciful purified the Prophet's family
طُوَبى لِذِي وُدٍّ لَهُ طُوبَى لَهُ
ṭuwabā lidhī wuddin lahu ṭūbā lahu
Bliss to the one who loves him, bliss be to him
حَقَّقْتُ أَنَّ مُـحِبَّهُ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ
قَدَمٌ عَلَى مَتْنِ الصِّرَاطِ تَسِيخُ
ḥaqqaqtu anna muḥibbahu laysat lahu
qadamun ʿalā matniṣ ṣirāṭi tasīkhu
I have realized that for his lover, there is no
Foot that shall sink upon the surface of the Bridge
قَدْ كَانَ فِي خَلقٍ بِغَيْبٍ مَبْدَأُ
qad kāna fī khalqin bighaybin mabda’u
He was a beginning in creation within the Unseen
وَهْوَ الـخِتَامُ وَقَدْ تَقَدَّسَ مَنْشَأُ
wahwal khitāmu waqad taqaddasa mansha’u
He is the Seal, and hallowed was his origin
وَبِهِ لَـجَأْتُ إِلَيْهِ أَرْجُو مَنْجَأُ
wabihi laja’tu ilayhi arjū manja’u
Through him I took refuge in Him, seeking salvation
حَسْبِي بِهِ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ مَلجَأُ
وَالصُّورُ فِيهِ تَقَعْقُعٌ وَنَفِيخُ
ḥasbī bihi yawmal qiyāmati malja’u
waṣ ṣūru fīhi taqaʿquʿun wanafīkhu
Sufficient is he for me as a refuge on Resurrection Day
When the Trumpet clatters and is blown
أَعْظِمْ بِخَيْرِ الـمُرْسَلِينَ مُحَمَّدَا
aʿẓim bikhayril mursalīna muḥammadā
How great is the best of Messengers, Muhammad
شَمْسِ العُلَا بَدْرِ الـهُدَى بَحْرِ النَّدَا
shamsil ʿulā badril hudā baḥrin nadā
Sun of loftiness, full moon of guidance, sea of generosity
بِالوُدِّ فِيهِ زَكَا وَدُودٌ وَاهْتَدَى
bil wuddi fīhi zakā wadūdun wah tadā
Through love for him, the loving one grew pure and found guidance
حُبِّي لَهُ أَرْجُو يُؤَمِّنُنِي غَدَا
نَاراً عَلَى الكُفَّارِ لَيْسَ تَبُوخُ
ḥubbī lahu arjū yuamminunī ghadā
nāran ʿalal kuffāri laysa tabūkhu
My love for him, I hope, will secure me tomorrow
From a Fire upon the disbelievers that never dies down
بَدْرٌ بَدَى بِكَمَـالِ مَـجْدٍ خَالِصٍ
badrun badā bikamāli majdin khāliṣin
A full moon that appeared with the perfection of pure glory
سُدْنَا بِهِ حُزْنَا خُصُوصَ خَصَائِصٍ
sudnā bihi ḥuznā khuṣūṣa khaṣā’iṣin
Through him we led and attained the most special of distinctions
بِكَمَـالِهِ هَلْ نَخْتَشِي مِنْ نَاقِصٍ
bikamālihi hal nakhtashī min nāqiṣin
With his perfection, do we fear any deficiency?
حَامِي حِـمَى الأَبْرَارِ يَوْمَ تَقَاصُصٍ
مِنْ هَوْلِهِ الطِّفْلُ الصَّغِيرُ يَشِيخُ
ḥāmī ḥimal abrāri yawma taqāṣuṣin
min hawlihiṭ ṭifluṣ ṣaghīru yashīkhu
Protector of the sanctuary of the righteous on the Day of Reckoning
From whose terror the small child turns gray-haired
مَدْحِي لَهُ فِي كُلِّ وَقْتٍ دَيْدَنِي
madḥī lahu fī kulli waqtin daydanī
My praise for him at all times is my constant habit
أُهْدِي الصَّلَاةَ لَهُ بِتَسْلِيمٍ سَنِي
uhdīṣ ṣalāta lahu bitaslīmin sanī
I offer blessings upon him with a sublime salutation
هَا أَنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ جَانٍ مُـجْتَنِي
hā anā bayna yadayhi jānin mujtanī
Here I am before him, a wrongdoer reaping the harvest of my faults
حَالِي شَكَوْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ لِأَنَّنِي
رَجُلٌ بِشَيْنِ ذُنُوبِهِ مَلطُوخُ
ḥālī shakawtu ilan nabiyyi liannanī
rajulun bishayni dhunūbihi malṭūkhu
I complained of my state to the Prophet because I am
A man stained with the shame of his sins
