O thou whose high rank’s floor is Orion

And which has, upon the throne of perfection, a sky

O thou whose extent no intellect has ever reached

Allah is Greatest! The eloquent were silenced

And poets were bewildered in describing you

He for whose vastness there is no end

And for whom the Book is a sign of Prophethood

Which neither narration nor comprehension could encompass

Allah is Greatest! Your glory has no limit

Ever, that peers might grasp its state

O thou in whom the whole universe was inscribed

And by whose light the light of existence was veiled

O manifestation of the Essence that encompassed all creation

O Muhammad, O best of those who trod the earth

And for whom the swift she-camel journeyed

You clarified the hidden secrets of Reality

And you made clear the stations in the journey of the Path

O thou who has become our guarantor on the Day of Gathering

You are the one who arrives at the Resurrection secure

And before the Possessor of Majesty, you have praise

The meaning of your perfection awakened all beings

Until the erring among creation were guided and roused

And chanted the verses of praise for you in speech

You are the intercessor tomorrow when Hellfire exhales

And when other intercessors fall back from their folk

O Master of masters, O Banner of Guidance

O thou who stood alone in the completion of perfection

O thou through whom the account of lofty heights begins

You are the one who quenched a thousand with hands

Water gushing forth from your palms

O thou whom Allah granted the most bountiful of gifts

And for whom the God of the Throne declared purity in Saba

And through whose glory He raised the height of the Prophet's family

You are the one whom the breaths of the East Wind aided

In his party, while the violent storm was shaken

O thou whom his Lord caused to journey by night openly

And showed him that which He said "Thou shalt not" to Moses

And upon the carpet of proximity, He called: "Draw near"

You are the stern one against tyrants when high rose

The stirred dust and the battle raged

With glory you came, crowned and robed

And virtue you attained, turbaned and singled out

And you transcended the levels of intellects by distinction

You placed upon your honored pulpit a foot

By whose treading place Orion was ennobled

And you came guiding mankind, defeating

The army of misguidance, standing firm for the religion of your Lord

Until Islam became a whole and sound assembly

You gestured while idols were being worshipped constantly

Openly, so the gesture cast them down for you

And you bestowed a favor upon your blessed community

Leaving no room among them for any suspicion of doubt

And for it, a Book you spread, and a Sunnah

You left the Remembrance among us as a shield

Whereby the scholars guide our ignorant ones
