What Joy for Us in Muḥammad! ﷺ
What Joy for Us in Muḥammad ﷺ
ظَهَرَ الدِّينُ الـمُؤَيَّدْ
بِظُهُورِ النَّبِـي أَحْمَدْ
ẓaharad dīnul muayyad
biẓuhūrin nabiī aḥmad
Divinely Aided religion
appeared with the Prophet Aḥmad ﷺ
يَا هَنَانَـــا بـِمُـحَمَّدْ
ذَلِكَ الفَضْلُ مِنَ الله
yā hanānaā bimuḥammad
dhalikal faḍlu mina Allah
What Joy for Us in Muḥammad! ﷺ
That is a blessing from Allah .......... Allah!
خُصَّ بِالسَّبْعِ الـمَثَانِي
وَحَوَى لُطْفَ الـمَعَانِي
khuṣṣa bis sabʿil mathānī
wa ḥawā luṭfal maʿānī
Favored with the Oft-Repeated Seven,
he embraced their subtle meanings
مَا لَهُ فِي الخَلْقِ ثَانِي
وَعَلَيْهِ أَنْـزَلَ الله
mā lahu fīl khalqi thānī
wa ʿalayhi anzala Allah
He has no match in Creation,
and to him Allah sent down (the Qur'ān) ........ Allah!
مِن مَكَّةَ لَـمَّا ظَهَرْ
لِأَجْلِهِ انْشَقَّ القَمَرْ
min makkata lammā ẓahar
liajlihi ānshaqqal qamar
When he appeared in Mecca,
the moon split for his sake
وَافْتَخَرَتْ آلُ مُضَرْ
بِهِ عَلَى كُلِّ الأَنَامِ
wa ftakharat ālu muḍar
bihi ʿalā kullil anāmi
The clan of Muḍar gloried
in him above all mankind ........ Allah!
أَطْيَبُ النَّاسِ خَلْقاً
وَأَجَلُّ النَّاسِ خُلْقاً
aṭyabun nāsi khalqāan
wa ajallun nāsi khulqāan
Purest of mankind in form,
and greatest in character
ذِكْرُهُ غَرْبًا وَشَرْقًا
سَائِرٌ وَالـحَمْدُ لِلّه
dhikruhu gharban wa sharqan
sā'irun wal ḥamdu lillh
In West and East, remembrance of him
endures; and all praise be to Allah ........ Allah!
صَلُّوا عَلَى خَيْرِ الأَنَامِ
الـمُصْطَفَى بَدْرِ التَّمَامِ
ṣallū ʿalā khayril anāmi
almuṣṭafā badrit tamāmi
Invoke blessings on the Best of Mankind,
the Chosen One, the Full Moon
صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا
يَشْفَعْ لَنَا يَومَ الزِّحَامِ
ṣallū ʿalayhi wa sallimū
yashfaʿ lanā yawmaz ziḥāmi
Invoke blessings and peace upon him,
he will intercede for us on the Day of Crowding ........ Allah!
