مَحْبُوبِي بِالوِصَالْ أَنْعَمْ عَلَيَّ
وَجَادَ بِالنَّوَالْ مِنْهُ إِلَيَّ
maḥbūbī bil wiṣāl anʿam ʿalayya
wa jāda bin nawāl minhu ilayya
My beloved has blessed me with union
and generously granted me favor from Him
عَلَى بَابِ الحَبِيبِ احْطَطتُّ رَحْلِي
عَسَى أُحْظَى بِــإِيصَالِي وَوَصْلِي
ʿalā bābil ḥabībi āḥṭaṭttu raḥlī
ʿasā uḥẓā biīṣālī wa wa ṣlī
At the door of the Beloved, I set down my saddle
In hopes that I will be blessed with communion and union
وَ أَهْلُ اللهِ أَبْوَابُ العَطايَا
وَوَاسِطَةُ التَّجَلِّي وَالكَمَالِ
wa ahlu Allahi abwābul ʿaṭāyā
wa wa siṭatut tajallī wal kamāli
The people of Allah are the gates of gifts
and the means of (Divine) manifestation and perfection
مَحْبُوبِي بِالوِصَالْ أَنْعَمْ عَلَيَّ
وَجَادَ بِالنَّوَالْ مِنْهُ إِلَيَّ
maḥbūbī bil wiṣāl anʿam ʿalayya
wa jāda bin nawāl minhu ilayya
My beloved has blessed me with union
and generously granted me favor from Him
أَيَا قَــمَراً بِهٰذَا العَصْرِ لَأْ لَأْ
وَأَدْهَشَ نُورُهُ لُـــبِّي وَعَقْلِي
ayā qamarāan bihādhāl ʿaṣri lā lā
wa adhasha nūruhu lubbī wa ʿaqlī
O moon that shines bright in this era
and its light overwhelms my heart and mind
طَرِيحٌ فِي حِمَاكُمْ مُسْتَجِيرٌ
مِنَ النَّفْسِ وَمِنْ أَسْوَاءِ فِعْلِي
ṭarīḥun fī ḥimākum mustajīrun
minan nafsi wa min aswā’i fiʿlī
I throw myself into your sanctuary, seeking asylum
from my lower self and evil deeds
مَحْبُوبِي بِالوِصَالْ أَنْعَمْ عَلَيَّ
وَجَادَ بِالنَّوَالْ مِنْهُ إِلَيَّ
maḥbūbī bil wiṣāl anʿam ʿalayya
wa jāda bin nawāl minhu ilayya
My beloved has blessed me with union
and generously granted me favor from Him
وَنَظْرَةْ وُدِّكُمْ تُحْيِي فُؤَادِي
وَعَطْفُ حَنَانِكُمْ يُصْلِحُ كُلِّي
wa naẓrah wuddikum tuḥyī fuādī
wa ʿaṭfu ḥanānikum yuṣliḥu kullī
A gaze of Your love brings life to my heart
and the gentleness of your compassion rectifies me entirely
فَمُدُّوا الكَفَّ لِلمَوْلَى تَعَالَى
وَمَنْ يُعْطِي السَّؤُولَ أَجَلَّ سُولِي
famuddūl kaffa lilmawlā taʿālā
wa man yuʿṭīs saūla ajalla sūlī
So, raise your hands to the Exalted Master
Who fulfills the greatest requests to those who constantly ask
مَحْبُوبِي بِالوِصَالْ أَنْعَمْ عَلَيَّ
وَجَادَ بِالنَّوَالْ مِنْهُ إِلَيَّ
maḥbūbī bil wiṣāl anʿam ʿalayya
wa jāda bin nawāl minhu ilayya
My beloved has blessed me with union
and generously granted me favor from Him
وَنَادُوا مَنْ يُجِيبُ مَنْ يُنَادِي
وَلَا يُمْنَعُ رَاجٍ فَيْضَ فَضْلِهِ
wa nādū man yujību man yunādī
wa lā yumnaʿu rājin fayḍa faḍlihi
And call out to He who answers the caller
never withholding the outpouring of His bounty from the one who hopes in Him
وَعَرْضٌ مِنْكُمُ فِي خَيْرِ وَصْلٍ
عَلَى طـٰـهَ يُحَقِّقْ كُلَّ سُولِي
wa ʿarḍun minkumu fī khayri wa ṣlin
ʿalā ṭāha yuḥaqqiq kulla sūlī
Connecting to Ṭāhā, during the greastest union,
will bring to reality all that I ask
