صَلَوَاتُ اللّهِ تَغْشَى
أَشْرَفَ الرُّسْلِ الأَطَايِـبْ
ṣalawātu Allahi taghshā
ashrafar ruslil āaṭāyib
May the blessings of Allah shroud
the most noble of the pure Messengers
وَتَعُمُّ الآلَ جَمْعاً
مَابَدَا نُورُ الكَوَاكِبْ
wa taʿummul 'āla jamʿāan
mābadā nūrul kawākib
and encompass the prophetic family entirely
as long as the light of the stars remains evident.
أَقْبَـلَ السَّعْدُ عَلَيْنَا
وَالهَنَا مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبْ
aqbalas saʿdu ʿalaynā
wal hanā min kulli jānib
True fortune has come upon us
along with success from all directions
فَلَنَا البُشْرَى بِسَعْدٍ
جَاءَنَا مِنْ خَيْرِ وَاهِبْ
falanāl bushrā bisaʿdin
jā’anā min khayri wa hib
For us is the ultimate glad tidings of fortune
which has come to us from the greatest of those who bestow gifts.
يَا جَمَالاً قَدْ تَجَلَّى
بِالمَشَارِقْ وَالمَغَارِبْ
yā jamālāan qad tajallā
bil mashāriq wal maghārib
O how beauty has manifest
in the eastern lands and the west.
مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً وَسَهْلاً
بِكَ يَا خَيْرَ الحَبَايِبْ
marḥabāan ahlāan wa sahlāan
bika yā khayral ḥabāyib
Welcome to you! As family and burdenless
O greatest of beloveds
مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً بِشَمْسٍ
قَدْ مَحَتْ كُلَّ الغَيَاهِـبْ
marḥabāan ahlāan bishamsin
qad maḥat kullal ghayāhib
Welcome as family to a sun
that has effaced all gloom.
مَرْحَباً أَهْلاً بِشَمْسٍ
خَفِيَتْ فِيهَـا الكَوَاكِبْ
marḥabāan ahlāan bishamsin
khafiyat fīhaāl kawākib
Welcome as family to a sun
in which all the stars has receded
يَاشَرِيفَ الأَصْلِ لُذْنَا
بِكَ فِي كُلِّ النَّوَائِـبْ
yāsharīfal āaṣli ludhnā
bika fī kullin nawā'ib
O noble of origins, we have taken refuge
in you for all calamaties.
أَنْتَ مَلْجَا كُلِّ عَاصٍ
أَنْتَ مَأْوَى كُلِّ تَائِبْ
anta maljā kulli ʿāṣin
anta māwā kulli tā'ib
You are the refuge of all sinners
You are the shelter for all the penitent.
جِئْتَ مِنْ أَصْلٍ أَصِيلٍ
حَلَّ فِي أَعْلَى الذَّوَائِبْ
jii'ta min aṣlin aṣīlin
ḥalla fī aʿlādh dhawā'ib
You have come from the most established of roots
that could ever have descended upon the heads
مِــن قُصَيٍّ وَلُؤَيٍّ
بَاذِخِ المَجْدِ ابْنِ غَالِبْ
min quṣayyin wa luayyin
bādhikhil majdi ābni ghālib
from Quṣayy and Lu'ayy,
lofty in majesty, the son of Ghālib.
وَاعْتَلَى مَجْدُكَ فَخْراً
فِي رَفِيعَاتِ المَرَاتِبْ
wa ʿtalā majduka fakhrāan
fī rafīʿātil marātib
You majesty is exalted in honor
in the most elevated of ranks.
لَا بَرِحْنَا فِي سُرُورٍ
بِكَ يَا عَالِي المَنَاقِبْ
lā bariḥnā fī surūrin
bika yā ʿālīl manāqib
We remain in total joy
for you, O Possessor of lofty traits.
فَلَكَمْ يَوْمَ وُجُودِكْ
ظَهَرَتْ فِينَـا عَجَائِبْ
falakam yawma wujūdik
ẓaharat fīnaā ʿajā'ib
So how much has the day you came to existence
manifest for us great wonders.
بَشَّرَتْنَا بِالعَطَايَا
وَالأَمَانِي والرَّغَايِبْ
bashsharatnā bil ʿaṭāyā
wal amānī wālrraghāyib
It brought glad tidings of Divine gifts,
matters of hope, and lofty pursuits.
قَدْ شَرِبْنَا مِنْ صَفَانَا
بِكَ مِنْ أحْلَى المَشَارِبْ
qad sharibnā min ṣafānā
bika min aḥlāl mashārib
We have drinken - due to our purity
in you - of the sweetest of drinks.
فَلِرَبِّ الحَمْدُ حَمْداً
جَلَّ أَنْ يُحْصِيهِ حَاسِبْ
falirabbil ḥamdu ḥamdāan
jalla an yuḥṣīhi ḥāsib
So only for the Lord is all praise
such that no reckoner could every enumerate.
وَلَهُ الشُكْرُ عَلَى مَا
قَدْ حَبَانَا مِنْ مَوَاهِبْ
wa lahush shukru ʿalā mā
qad ḥabānā min mawāhib
And for Him is all gratitude for
all the Divine gifts He bestowed.
يَا كَرِيماً يَا رَحِيماً
جُدْ وَعَجِّلْ بِالمَطَالِبْ
yā karīmāan yā raḥīmāan
jud wa ʿajjil bil maṭālib
O Generous! O Mericiful!
Grant out of Your generosity and hasten for us the fulfillment of all goals.
مَن تَوَجَّهْ نَحْوَ بَابِكْ
مَا رَجَعْ مِنْ ذَاكَ خَائِبْ
man tawajjah naḥwa bābik
mā rajaʿ min dhāka khā'ib
Whoever turns towards Your door,
never returns therefrom disappointed.
وَاغْفِرِاغْفِرْ ذَنْبَ عَبْدٍ
قَدْ أَتَى نَحْوَكَ تَائِبْ
wa ghfiriāghfir dhanba ʿabdin
qad atā naḥwaka tā'ib
Forgive, forgive the sins of a slave
who has come towards You in repentance.
