فَيَا نَفَحَاتِ اللهِ يَا عَطَفَاتِهِ
O Divine Breaths of Allah, O His Affections
En
فَيَا نَفَحَاتِ اللهِ يَا عَطَفَاتِهِ
وَيَا جَذَبَاتِ الْحَقِّ جُودِي بِزَوْرَةِ
fayā nafaḥātillāhi yā ʿaṭafātihi
wayā jadhabātil ḥaqqi jūdī bizawrati
O Divine breaths of Allah, O His affections
O Attractions of the Real, honour us with (Your) visit,
وَيَا نَظَرَاتِ اللّهِ يَا لَحَظَاتِهِ
وَيَا نَسَمَاتِ اللُّطْفِ أُمِّى بِهَبَّةِ
wayā naẓarātillāhi yā laḥaẓātihi
wayā nasamātil luṭfi ummiā bihabbati
O Divine gazes of Allah, O His glances
O breezes of kindness, lead me with a gust.
وَيَا غَارَةَ الرَّحْمَانِ جُدِّىْ بِسُرْعَةِ
إِلَيْنَا وَحُلِّى عَقْدَ كُلِّ مُلِمَّةِ
wayā ghāratar raḥmāni juddi’ bisurʿati
ilaynā waḥulliā ʿaqda kulli mulimmati
O host of the Merciful, grant me swiftly
Relieve us from the knots of every misfortune.
وَيَا رَحْمَةَ الرَّبِّ الرَّحِيْمِ تَوَجَّهِىْ
وَأَحْيِىْ بِرُوْحِ الفَضْلِ كُلَّ رَمِيْمَةِ
wayā raḥmatar rabbir raḥiymi tawajjahi’
wa aḥyi’ biruwḥil faḍli kulla ramiymati
O compassion of the Merciful Lord, look towards me
And grant life with the spirit of Your Favour to everything that has perished
وَيَاكُلَّ أَبْوَابِ الْقَبُولِ تَفَتَّحِىْ
فَإِنَّ مَطَايَا الْقَصْدِ نَحْوَكَ أَمَّتِ
wayākulla abwābil qabūli tafattaḥi’
fa inna maṭāyal qaṣdi naḥwaka ammati
O every door of acceptance, open!
Verily the means of intent are directed towards You
وَيَاسُحُبَ الْجُوْدِ الْإِلَهِيِّ أَمْطِرِىْ
فَإِنَّ أَكُفَّ الْمَحْلِ تِلْقَاكِ مُدَّتِ
wayāsuḥubal juwdil ilahiyyi amṭiri’
fa inna akuffal maḥli tilqāki muddati
O Divine clouds of generosity, pour forth
The empty palms of my hands are extending to You.
بِحُرْمَةِ هَادِيْنَا وَمُحْيِيْ قُلُوْبِنَا
وَمُرْشِدِنَا نَهْجَ الطَّرِيْقِ الْقَوِيْمَةِ
biḥurmati hādiynā wamuḥyiy quluwbinā
wamurshidinā nahjaṭ ṭariyqil qawiymati
By the honour of our Guide, the Reviver of our hearts,
Our Leader, who demonstrated the Straight Path
دَعَانَا إِلَى حَقٍّ بِحَقٍّ مُنَزَّلٍ
عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَانِ أَفْضَلَ دَعْوَةِ
daʿānā ilā ḥaqqin biḥaqqin munazzalin
ʿalayhi minar raḥmāni afḍala daʿwati
He called us to Truth with Truth revealed
From The Merciful he has the best call (to the religion)
أَجَبْنَا قَبِلْنَا مُذْعِنِيْنَ لِأَمْرِهِ
سَمِعْنَا أَطَعْنَا عَنْ هُدىً وَبَصِيْرَةِ
ajabnā qabilnā mudhʿiniyna liamrihi
samiʿnā aṭaʿnā ʿan hudan wabaṣiyrati
We have answered and accepted in submission to his command
We hear and obey the guidance and see
فَيَارَبِّ ثَبِّتْنَا عَلَى الْحَقِّ وَالْهُدَى
وَيَارَبِّ اِقْبِضْنَا عَلَى خَيْرِ مِلَّةِ
fayārabbi thabbitnā ʿalal ḥaqqi wal hudā
wayārabbi iqbiḍnā ʿalā khayri millati
My Lord, make us firm upon the truth and guidance.
My Lord hold us in the best of assemblies!
وَعُمَّ أُصُوْلاً وَالْفُرُوْعَ بِرَحْمَةٍ
وَأَهْلاً وَأَصْحَاباً وَكُلَّ قَرَابَةِ
waʿumma uṣuwlan wal furuwʿa biraḥmatin
wa ahlan wa aṣḥāban wakulla qarābati
Encompass the forefathers and descendants with mercy
Families, companions and every relative
وَسَائِرِ أَهْلِ الدِّيْنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ
أَقَامَ لَكَ التَّوْحِيْدَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رِيْبَةِ
wasā’iri ahlid diyni min kulli muslimin
aqāma lakat tawḥiyda min ghayri riybati
And all the people of religion, every Muslim
Are established, for Your sake, in monotheism without doubt
وَصَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمَ الدَّهْرِ سَرْمَداً
عَلَى خَيْرِ مَبْعُوْثٍ إِلَى خَيْرِ أُمَّةِ
waṣalli wasallim dā’imad dahri sarmadan
ʿalā khayri mabʿuwthin ilā khayri ummati
May continual, everlasting and eternal blessings and peace
Be upon the best emissary of the best nation
مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَخْصُوْصِ مِنْكَ بِفَضْلِكَ
الْعَظِيْمِ وَإِنْزَالِ الْكِتَابِ وَحِكْمَةِ
muḥammadinal makhṣuwṣi minka bifaḍlika
alʿaẓiymi wa inzālil kitābi waḥikmati
Muhammad ﷺ , the one chosen by You, with Your immense favour
With the Revelation of the Book and Wisdom.
