يَا وَاهِبَ الْإِنْسَانِ أَسْبَابَ الْهُدَى
O Giver of the Means of Guidance to Humanity

يَا وَاهِبَ الْإِنْسَانِ أَسْبَابَ الْهُدَى
يَا مَنْ بِحَمْدِ الْعَالَمِينَ تَفَرَّدَا
yā wāhibal insāni asbābal hudā
yā man biḥamdil ʿālamīna tafarradā
O Giver of the means of guidance to humanity,
O You who alone are worthy of the world’s praise
لِي عِنْدَ بَابِكَ يَا إِلَهِي دَعْوَةٌ
فِيهَا رَجَاءُ الْعُمْرِ جَاءَ مُجَسَّدَا
lī ʿinda bābika yā ilahī daʿwatun
fīhā rajā’ul ʿumri jā’a mujassadā
At Your door, O my God, I have a plea,
In which the hope of a lifetime has taken form
أَنْتَ الَّذِي مَا خَابَ عِنْدَكَ سَائِلٌ
أَيَكُونُ بَابُكَ دُونَ سُؤْلِي مُؤْصَدَا
antal ladhī mā khāba ʿindaka sā’ilun
ayakūnu bābuka dūna su’lī mu’ṣadā
You are the One with Whom no seeker is ever disappointed,
Could Your door be closed against my request?
فَبِفَضْلِكَ اللَّهُمَّ عِشْتُ مُوَحِّدا
أَيُرَدُّ عِنْدَكَ مَنْ أَتَاكَ مُوَحِّدَا
fabifaḍlika Allahumma ʿishtu muwaḥḥidā
ayuraddu ʿindaka man atāka muwaḥḥidā
By Your grace, O Allah, I have lived affirming Your Oneness,
Can he who comes to You affirming Your Oneness be turned away?
سُؤْلِي كَذَاتِكَ وَاحِدٌ فَبِحَقِّهَا
لَوْ لَحْظَةً دَعْنِي أُشَاهِدَ أَحْمَدَا
su’lī kadhātika wāḥidun fabiḥaqqihā
law laḥẓatan daʿnī ushāhida aḥmadā
My plea is singular, just as Your Essence is One; so by that Oneness,
Let me, if only for a moment, behold Ahmad
