بُورِكْتِ يَا أُمَّ الْحَسَنَيْن
Blessed Are You, O Mother of Hasan and Hussain

بُورِكْتِ يَا أُمَّ الْحَسَنَيْن
يَا فَاطِمَةْ الْزَّهْرَاءْ
būrikti yā ummal ḥasanayn
yā fāṭimahal zzahrā’
Blessed are you, O Mother of Hasan and Hussain,
O Fatima al-Zahra
يَا آمِنَةْ يَا أُمَّ الزَّيْنْ
يَا حَامِلَةْ الْبُشْرَى
yā āminah yā ummaz zayn
yā ḥāmilahal bushrā
O Trustworthy one, O mother of the beautiful one,
O bearer of glad tidings
وَالسِّتِّ زَيْنَبْ نُورِ الْعَيْنْ
وَخَدِيجَةَ الْكُبْرَى
was sitti zaynab nūril ʿayn
wakhadījatal kubrā
And Lady Zaynab, the light of the eye,
And Khadija the Great one
صَلُّوا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهْ
مَنْ قَدْ أَتَى بِكِتَابِ اللهْ
ṣallū ʿalā ʿabdillāh
man qad atā bikitābillāh
Send blessings upon the servant of Allah,
The one who came with the Book of Allah
وَمَنْ بِهِ قَدْ أَسْرَى اللهْ
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ أَسْرَى
waman bihi qad asra Allah
subḥāna man asrā
And the one whom Allah took on the Night Journey,
Glory be to Him who took him by night
صَلُّوا عَلَى صَحْبِ الْمُخْتَارْ
رَسُولِنَا الْأَعْظَمْ
ṣallū ʿalā ṣaḥbil mukhtār
rasūlinal aʿẓam
Send blessings upon the Companions of the Chosen One,
Our Greatest Messenger
حَيُّوا عَليٍ خَيْرَ الْأَبْرَارْ
إِمَامَنَا الْأَكْرَمْ
ḥayyū ʿalyin khayral abrār
imāmanal akram
Greet Ali, the best of the righteous,
Our most noble Imam
وَعَلَى الْحُسَيْنْ نُورِ الْأَنْوَارْ
يَا سَعْدَ مَنْ سَلَّمْ
waʿalal ḥusayn nūril anwar
yā saʿda man sallam
And upon Hussain, the Light of Lights,
How blessed is the one who sends him greetings of peace
يَا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ الْمُصْطَفَى
عَلَيْكُمْ اَلْسَّلَامْ
yā ahla baytil muṣṭafā
ʿalaykum alssalām
O Household of the Chosen One,
Peace be upon you
أَهْلَ الْأَمَانَةْ وَالْوَفَا
وَالْخَيْرِ وَالْإِكْرَامْ
ahlal amānah wal wafā
wal khayri wal ikrām
People of trustworthiness and faithfulness,
And of goodness and generosity
