صَلَاةُ الْبَدْرِيَّة
The Badriyyah Prayer

صَلَاةُ اللّٰه سَلَامُ اللّٰه
عَلَىٰ طٰهٰ رَسُولِ اللّٰه
ṣalātu Allah salāmu Allah
ʿalāā ṭāhā rasūlillāh
May the prayers of Allah, may the peace of Allah,
be upon Taha, the Messenger of Allah
صَلَاةُ اللّٰه سَلَامُ الله
عَلَىٰ يٰسٓ حَبِيبِ الله
ṣalātu Allah salāmu Allah
ʿalāā yās ḥabībillāh
May the prayers of Allah, may the peace of Allah,
be upon Yasin, the beloved of Allah
تَوَسَّلْنَا بِبِسْمِ الله
وَبِالْهَادِي رَسُولِ الله
tawassalnā bibismillāh
wabil hādī rasūlillāh
We seek intercession through the name of Allah,
and by the Perfected Guide, the Messenger of Allah
وَكُلِّ مُجَاهِدٍ لِلّٰه
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
wakulli mujāhidin lillāh
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
And all who strive in the way of Allah,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
إِلَهِي سَلِّمِ الْأُمَّةْ
مِنَ الْآفَاتِ وَالنِّقْمَةْ
ilahī sallimil ummah
minal āfāti wan niqmah
My Lord, grant the Ummah safety,
from hardship and adversity
وَمِنْ هَمٍّ وَمِنْ غُمَّةْ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
wamin hammin wamin ghummah
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
And from worry and sorrow,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
إِلَهِي نَجِّنَا وَاكْشِفْ
جَمِيعَ أَذِيَّةٍ وَاصْرِفْ
ilahī najjinā wak shif
jamīʿa adhiyyatin waṣ rif
My Lord, save us and deliver us,
from all harm and avert
مَكَائِدَ الْعِدَا وَالْطُفْ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
makā’idal ʿidā wal ṭuf
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
The schemes of our enemies with gentleness,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
إِلَهِي نَفِّسِ الْكُرَبَا
مِنَ الْعَاصِينَ وَالْعَطْبَا
ilahī naffisil kurabā
minal ʿāṣīna wal ʿaṭbā
My Lord, relieve us of hardship,
caused by the disobedient and corrupt
وَكُلِّ بَلِيَّةٍ وَوَبَا
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
wakulli baliyyatin wawabā
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
And from every calamity and epidemic,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
فَكَمْ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ حَصَلَتْ
وَكَمْ مِنْ ذِلَّةٍ فَصَلَتْ
fakam min raḥmatin ḥaṣalat
wakam min dhillatin faṣalat
How many mercies have been attained,
and how many misfortunes have been avoided
وَكَمْ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ وَصَلَتْ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
wakam min niʿmatin waṣalat
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
And how many favours have been granted,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
وَكَمْ أَغْنَيْتَ ذَا الْعُمْرِ
وَكَمْ أَوْلَيْتَ ذَا الْفَقْرِ
wakam aghnayta dhal ʿumri
wakam awlayta dhal faqri
How many of the aged have You enriched,
and how many of the destitute have You provided for
وَكَمْ عَافَيْتَ ذَا الْوِزْرِ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
wakam ʿāfayta dhal wizri
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
And how many sinners have you cured,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
لَقَدْ ضَاقَتْ عَلَى الْقَلْبِ
جَمِيعَ الْاَرْضِ مَعَ رَحْبِ
laqad ḍāqat ʿalal qalbi
jamīʿal arḍi maʿa raḥbi
Indeed, the entire earth, despite its vastness,
feels constricted upon our hearts
فَانْجُ مِنَ الْبَلَا الصَّعْبِ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
fan ju minal balaṣ ṣaʿbi
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
So save us from this troublesome calamity,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
أَتَيْنَا طَالِبِي الرِّفْقِ
وَجُلِّ الْخَيْرِ وَالسَّعْدِ
ataynā ṭālibīr rifqi
wajullil khayri was saʿdi
We come asking for mercy,
and an abundance of goodness and felicity
فَوَسِّعْ مِنْحَةَ الْأَيْدِي
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
fawassiʿ minḥatal aydī
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
So expand the bounty bestowed upon us,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
فَلَا تَرْدُدْ مَعَ الْخَيْبَةْ
بَلِ اجْعَلْنَا عَلَى الطَّيْبَةْ
falā tardud maʿal khaybah
balij ʿalnā ʿalaṭ ṭaybah
So don't turn us back disheartened,
rather let us attain goodness
أَيَا ذَا الْعِزِّ وَالْهَيْبَةْ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
ayā dhal ʿizzi wal haybah
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
O Possessor of Honour and Majesty,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
وَإِنْ تَرْدُدْ فَمَنْ نَأْتِي
بِنَيْلِ جَمِيعِ حَاجَاتِي
wa in tardud faman na’tī
binayli jamīʿi ḥājātī
And if You refuse us, to whom shall we go to,
for all our needs
أَيَا جَالِي الْمُلِمَّاتِ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا الله
ayā jālīl mulimmāti
bi ahlil badri ya Allah
O Reliever of Distress,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
إِلَهِي أَغْفِرْ وَأَكْرِمْنَا
بِنَيْلِ مَطَالِبٍ مِنَّا
ilahī aghfir wa akrimnā
binayli maṭālibin minnā
My Lord, forgive and honor us,
by receiving our requests
وَدَفْعِ مَسَاءَةٍ عَنَّا
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا اَللّٰه
wadafʿi masā’atin ʿannā
bi ahlil badri yā Allah
And rid us of evil,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
إِلَهِي أَنْتَ ذُو لُطْفٍ
وَ ذُو فَضْلٍ وَ ذُو عَطْفٍ
ilahī anta dhū luṭfin
wa dhū faḍlin wa dhū ʿaṭfin
My Lord, you are the Possessor of Kindness,
and the Possessor of Grace and Compassion
وَكَمْ مِنْ كُرْبَةٍ تَنْفِي
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا اَللّٰه
wakam min kurbatin tanfī
bi ahlil badri yā Allah
And how much sorrow have You dispelled,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
وَصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِي الْبَرِّ
بِلَا عَدٍّ وَلَا حَصْرٍ
waṣalli ʿalan nabīl barri
bilā ʿaddin walā ḥaṣrin
And send blessings upon the Righteous Prophet,
endlessly without enumeration
وَآلِ سَادَةٍ غُرٍّ
بِأَهْلِ الْبَدْرِ يَا اَللّٰه
wa āli sādatin ghurrin
bi ahlil badri yā Allah
And upon his honourable descendants,
for the sake of the people of Badr, O Allah!
