حُبُّ الْحُسَيْنْ وَسِيلَةُ الْسُّعَدَاءِ
وَضِيَاؤُهُ قَدْ عَمَّ فِي الْأَرْجَاءِ
ḥubbul ḥusayn wasīlatul ssuʿadā’i
waḍiyāuhu qad ʿamma fīl arjā’i
Love for Husayn is the path to eternal bliss,
And his radiance has encompassed all the horizons
سِبْطٌ تَفَرَّعَ مِنْهُ نَسْلُ الْمُصْطَفَى
وَأَضَاءَ مِصْرْ بِوَجْهِهِ الْوَضَّاءِ
sibṭun tafarraʿa minhu naslul muṣṭafā
wa aḍā’a miṣr biwajhihil waḍḍā’i
A grandson through whom the Chosen One’s lineage flourished,
Illumining Egypt with his radiant countenance
فَهُوَ الْكَرِيمْ اِبْنُ الْكَرِيمْ
وَجَدُّهُ خَيْرُ الْأَنَامْ وَسَيِّدُ الْشُّفَعَاءِ
fahuwal karīm ibnul karīm
wajadduhu khayrul anām wasayyidul shshufaʿā’i
For he is the noble son of the noble,
Whose grandfather is the best of creation and the Master of Intercessors
