يَا أَجْمَلَ الْأَنْبِيَاء
Oh Most Beautiful of Prophets

يَا أَجْمَلَ الْأَنْبِيَاء
يَا أَكْمَلَ الْأَصْفِيَاء
yā ajmalal anbiyā’
yā akmalal aṣfiyā’
O most beautiful of prophets,
O most perfect of the chosen ones,
يَا خَاتَمَ الرُّسْلِ مَا
أَحْلَاكَ فِي قَلْبِي
yā khātamar rusli mā
aḥlāka fī qalbī
O Seal of the Messengers — how
Sweet you are in my heart!
يَا ذَا الَّذِي نُسْخَةُ
الْأَكْوَانِ فِيْكَ مَطْوِيَّ
yā dhal ladhī nuskhatu
alakwāni fiyka maṭwiyya
O you in whom the blueprint
Of creation is folded and contained,
عَطِيَّةٌ أَزَلِيَّة
ʿaṭiyyatun azaliyyah
A timeless, eternal gift,
أَنْتَ الَّذِي أُعْطِيتَ
الشَّفَاعَةَ الْوَافِيَّة
antal ladhī uʿṭīta
ash shafāʿatal wāfiyyah
You are the one granted,
The complete intercession
وَ الْخَلْقُ حِينَئِذٍ
يَلْتَمِسُونَ الْأَنْبِيَاءْ
wal khalqu ḥīna’idhin
yaltamisūnal anbiyā’
And when all of creation
Seeks out the prophets,
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ لِلْأَنَامْ
قَدْ نِلْتُمُ الْأُمْنِيَّة
thumma yuqālu lilanām
qad niltumul umniyyah
It will then be said to humankind:
“You have attained your hope—
أَلَا اقْصِدُوْا مُحَمَّدًا
بَابَ الْإِلَهِ الْعَالِيَ
alaq ṣiduw muḥammadan
bābal ilahil ʿāliya
Go to Muhammad,
The Door of the Exalted Lord.”
آيَاتُهُ شَافِيَة
āyātuhu shāfiyah
His signs are healing,
وَهُوَ الْمُعَدُّ لَهَا
وَ ذُوَ الْثَنَاءِ الْوَافِيَ
wahuwal muʿaddu lahā
wa dhuwal thanā’il wāfiya
And he is the one prepared for them,
He is the perfect praise itself.
ثُمَّ يُنَادِي سَاجِدًا
يَا رَبِّ جُدْ رَاضِيَـا
thumma yunādī sājidan
yā rabbi jud rāḍiyā
Then he will call out in prostration:
“O my Lord, grant and be pleased!”
يُنَادِي اشْفَعْ يَا حَبِيْبِ
يَا صَفْوَةَ الْأَصْفِيَاءْ
yunādīsh faʿ yā ḥabiybi
yā ṣafwatal aṣfiyā’
It will be said: “Intercede, O Beloved!
O purest of the chosen ones,
وَسَلْ تُعْطَى مَا تَرُوْم
وَلَا تَدَعْ عَاصِيَا
wasal tuʿṭā mā taruwm
walā tadaʿ ʿāṣiyā
Ask and you shall be given,
And leave none of the sinners behind.”
يَا صَفْوَةَ الْأَصْفِيَاءْ
yā ṣafwatal aṣfiyā’
O purest of the chosen ones,
صَلُّوْا عَلَى مَنْ عَلَا
فَوْقَ السَّمَا رَاقِيَا
ṣalluw ʿalā man ʿalā
fawqas samā rāqiyā
Send blessings upon the One
Who ascended beyond the heavens,
هذَا حَبِيْبٌ غَدًا
عَنَّا العَنَـا مَـاحِيَا
hdhā ḥabiybun ghadan
ʿannal ʿanā māḥiyā
The Beloved who tomorrow
Will remove from us all hardship
يَا رَبَّنَا عَطَّفْ عَلَيْنَا
قَلْبَهُ الزَّاكِيَا
yā rabbanā ʿaṭṭaf ʿalaynā
qalbahuz zākiyā
O our Lord, incline toward us
The compassion of his pure heart,
وَاخْتِمْ لَنَا خِتَامَ مِسْكٍ
يَا مُجِيْبَ الدَّاعِيَا
wakh tim lanā khitāma miskin
yā mujiybad dāʿiyā
And seal our end with the fragrance of musk,
O You who answer those who call,
بِالْأَسْرَارِ الذَّاتِـيـــة
bil asrāridh dhātīh
By the Intrinsic secrets
