اَلـلَّـهُ يَـا اَلـلَّـه صَـلَّـى عَـلَـى الـزَّيْـن
O Allah! Send Blessings Upon the Beautiful One
En
اَلـلَّـهُ يَـا اَلـلَّـه
صَـلْـوا عَـلَـى الْـزَّيْـنِ
Allahu yā Allah
ṣalw ʿalal zzayni
Allah, O Allah!
Send blessings upon the Beautiful One
طَـاطَـا الْـقَـمَـرْلِأَحْـمَـد
وَانْـشَـقَّ نِـصْـفَـيْـنِـى
ṭāṭal qamarliaḥmad
wan shaqqa niṣfayniā
The moon obeyed Ahmad,
And split into two halves
أَبُـو بَـكْـرُ يَـا صِـدِّيـقْ
صَـاحِـبِ الْـنَّـبِـى وَرَفِـيـق
abū bakru yā ṣiddīq
ṣāḥibil nnabiā warafīq
O Abu Bakr, O Siddiq,
Companion and close friend of the Prophet
بِرُوحُهْ فَدَاهْ فِي الضِّيقْ
مِـنْ لَـدْغَـةِ الْـنِّـيـنِـى
birūḥuh fadāh fīḍ ḍīq
min ladghatil nnīniā
With his very soul he ransomed him in distress,
Enduring the serpent’s bite for his sake
لَـمَّـا عُـمَـرْ أَسْـلَـم
فَـرِحَ الْـنَّـبِـى وَتَـبَـسَّـم
lammā ʿumar aslam
fariḥal nnabiā watabassam
When Umar embraced Islam,
The Prophet rejoiced and smiled
تَـبَـاشَـرَ الْإِسْـلَام
بِـدُخُـولِـهْ فِـي الْـدِّيـنِـى
tabāsharal islām
bidukhūlih fīl ddīniā
And Islam received glad tidings,
With his entrance into the faith
عُـثْـمَـانُ يَـا عُـثْـمَـان
يَـا جَـامِـعَ الْـقُـرْءَان
ʿuthmānu yā ʿuthmān
yā jāmiʿal qur’ān
O Uthman, O Uthman,
O compiler of the Qur’an
صِـهْـرِ الْـنَّـبِـى الْـعَـدْنَـان
زَوَّجَـهُ بِـنْـتَـيْـنِـى
ṣihril nnabial ʿadnān
zawwajahu bintayniā
Son-in-law of the Adnani Prophet,
Who gave him two of his daughters in marriage
عَـلِـىُّ يَـا كَـرَّار
سَـيْـفُـكَ طَـوِيـل بَـتَّـار
ʿaliu yā karrār
sayfuka ṭawīl battār
O Ali, O Valiant Warrior,
Your sword is long and keen
يَـا هَـازِمَ الْـكُـفَّـار
قَـتَـلَ الْـمَـلَاعِـيـنِـى
yā hāzimal kuffar
qatalal malāʿīniā
O vanquisher of the disbelievers,
Who struck down the accursed foes
جَـاتُـهْ الْـمُـرَبِّـيَـةْ
حَـلِـيـمَـةْ الْـسَّـعْـدِيَّـة
jātuhal murabbiyah
ḥalīmahal ssaʿdiyyah
His nurse came to him,
Halimah al-Sa‘diyyah
قَـالَـتْ وَهَـبُـوةْ لِـيَـا
يَـا رَبِّ هَـنِّـيـنِـى
qālat wahabūh liyā
yā rabbi hannīniā
She said, “Grant him to me,
O Lord, bless me with joy through him.”
جَـالُـه الْـجَـمَـل جَـالُـه
يَـزْحَـف عَـلَـى عِـقَـالُـه
jāluhal jamal jāluh
yazḥaf ʿalā ʿiqāluh
The camel came to him,
Crawling upon its tether
لَـمَّـا جَـالُـه جَـمَـالُـه
سَـلِّـم عَـلَـى الـزَّيْـنِـى
lammā jāluh jamāluh
sallim ʿalaz zayniā
When it beheld his beauty,
It greeted the Beautiful One
