صَلَّى عَلَيْكَ اللَّهُ يَا عَدْنَانِ
May Allah Send His Blessings Upon You, O Adnani
En
صَلَّى عَلَيْكَ اللَّهُ يَا عَدْنَانِ
يَا مُصْطَفَى يَا صَفْوَةَ الْرَّحْمَٰنِ
ṣallā ʿalayka Allahu yā ʿadnāni
yā muṣṭafā yā ṣafwatal rraḥmāni
May Allah send His blessings upon you, O Adnani,
O Chosen One, O most beloved of the Most Merciful
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَعْطَانِي
هَذَا الْغُلَامَ الْطَّيِّبَ الْأَرْدَانِ
alḥamdu lillāhil ladhī aʿṭānī
hadhal ghulāmal ṭṭayyibal ardāni
Praise be to Allah, who has granted me,
This blessed boy, pure and noble in character
قَدْ سَادَ فِي الْمَهْدِ عَلَى الْغِلْمَانِ
أُعِيذُهُ بِالْبَيْتِ ذِي الْأَرْكَانِ
qad sāda fīl mahdi ʿalal ghilmāni
uʿīdhuhu bil bayti dhīl arkāni
Even in the cradle, he has surpassed all other boys,
I seek protection for him through the Sacred House
حَتَّى أَرَاهُ بَالِغَ الْبُنْيَانِ
أَنْتَ الَّذِي سُمِّيتَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ
ḥattā arāhu bālighal bunyāni
antal ladhī summīta fīl qurāni
Until I see him grown to full stature,
You are the one whose name is mentioned in the Qur’an
أَحْمَدُ مَكْتُوبٌ عَلَى الْجِنَانِ
صَلَّى عَلَيْكَ اللَّهُ فِي الْأَحْيَانْ
aḥmadu maktūbun ʿalal jināni
ṣallā ʿalayka Allahu fīl aḥyān
Ahmad, whose name is inscribed in the Gardens of Paradise,
May Allah send His blessings upon you at all times
أَحْمَدُهُ فِي الْسِّرِّ وَالْإِعَلْأَنِ
حَقًّا عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَالْإِيمَانِ
aḥmaduhu fīl ssirri wal iʿalani
ḥaqqan ʿalal islāmi wal īmāni
I praise Him in private and in public,
Truthfully for the gift of Islam and faith
يَا رَبَّنَا بِالْمُصْطَفَى الْعَدْنَانِ
اغْفِرْ ذُنُوبِي ثُمَّ أَصْلِحْ شَأْنِي
yā rabbanā bil muṣṭafal ʿadnāni
āghfir dhunūbī thumma aṣliḥ sha’nī
O our Lord, by the Chosen One, the Adnani,
Forgive my sins and set my affairs aright
