قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
أَبْـشِـرْ وَاسْـعَـدْ يَـا مَـنْ تَـفْـرَح
بِـالْـهَـادِي وَاتْـلُ "أَلَـمْ نَـشْـرَحْ"
abshir was ʿad yā man tafraḥ
bil hādī wat lu alam nashraḥ
Rejoice and be happy, O one who celebrates
In the Guide (Muhammad ﷺ), and recite the verse: 'Did We not expand your chest?'
فِـي عِـزِّكَ لِـلْـمَـوْلَـى تَـمْـرَح
وَاقْـرَأْ قَـوْلَ الـلَّـهِ الأَكْـبَـر
fī ʿizzika lilmawlā tamraḥ
waq ra’ qawla Allahil akbar
In your honor of your Lord, you will be delightful
Recite the words of Allah the Greatest!
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
مَـا مِـثْـلُ لِـلْـهَـادِي أَحْـمَـد
فَـاتْـبَـعْ قَـوْلَ الـهَـادِي تُـحْـمَـد
mā mithlu lilhādī aḥmad
fat baʿ qawlal hādī tuḥmad
None is like the Guide, Ahmad ﷺ
So follow the words of the Guide — you’ll be praised and elevated
مَـنْ يَـتْـبَـعْ ذَا سَـعَـدٌ يَـسْـعَـد
وَاسْـمَـعْ قَـوْلَ الْـبَـارِي الأَطْـهَـر
man yatbaʿ dhā saʿadun yasʿad
was maʿ qawlal bārīl aṭhar
Whoever follows him is joyful and brings joy
And listen to the words of the Most Exalted Creator
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
بِـمَـوْلِـدِهِ نَـلْـنَـا الْـبُـشْـرَى
وَالْـعُـسْـرُ غَـدًا دَومًـا يُسْراً
bimawlidihi nalnal bushrā
wal ʿusru ghadan dawman yusran
With his birth we received glad tidings
Hardship tomorrow shall always be ease
والْـمَـوْلَـى لَـنَـا يَـشْـرَحُ صَـدْرًا
فَـافْـرَحْ وَاسْـمَـعْ قَـوْلًا يُـذْكَـر
l mawlā lanā yashraḥu ṣadran
faf raḥ was maʿ qawlan yudhkar
And our Lord will expand our hearts
So rejoice, and listen to words worth remembering
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
مَـنْ يَـفْـرَحْ بِـالْـهَـادِي يَـسْـعَـد
حَـقًّـا يَـرْقَـى يُـمْـسِـي أَمْـجَـد
man yafraḥ bil hādī yasʿad
ḥaqqan yarqā yumsī amjad
Who rejoices in the Guide (Muhammad ﷺ) will truly be happy
Indeed, he will be elevated and honored
وَالْـفَـضْـلُ لَـهُ أَضْـحَـى مَصْـعَـد
اسْـمَـعْ فَـضْـلَ الـلَّـهِ الأَكْـبَـر
wal faḍlu lahu aḍḥā maṣʿad
āsmaʿ faḍla Allahil akbar
He has been given great virtue
Listen to the great favor of Allah — His blessed words in the Qur’an
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
لَـوْلَاكَ حَـقِـيـقَـةً مَـا كَـانَ
شَـيْءٌ مِـنْ مَـا خُـلِـقَ الْآنَ
lawlāka ḥaqīqatan mā kāna
shay’un min mā khuliqal āna
If not for you, truly, nothing would exist
Nothing that is created now would be here
وَلَـقَـدْ آتَـيْـنَـا لُـقْـمَـانَ
بِـكَ حِـكْـمَـتَـهُ فَـبِـهَـا يُـذْكَـر
walaqad ātaynā luqmāna
bika ḥikmatahu fabihā yudhkar
Allah said, 'We gave Luqmān wisdom...'
And O Muhammad ﷺ, through you and by that wisdom, Luqmān is remembered
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
بِـعُـرُوجِـكَ شَـرَّفْـتَ الْـعَـرْشَ
وَسَـمِـعْـتَ حَـدِيـثًـا لَا يُـفْـشَـى
biʿurūjika sharraftal ʿarsha
wasamiʿta ḥadīthan lā yufshā
You honored the Throne with your ascension
And heard words that cannot be shared
إِذْ يَـغْـشَـى الـسِّـدْرَةَ مَـا يَـغْـشَـى
مِـنْ بِـرٍّ أَوْ خَـيْـرٍ يُـذْكَـر
idh yaghshas sidrata mā yaghshā
min birrin aw khayrin yudhkar
When the Lote Tree was covered in mystery...
...with blessings and goodness worth mentioning
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
وَالْـكُـلُّ غَـدَا بِـكَ مَـسْـعُـودًا
وَالْـكُـلُّ غَـدَا بِـكَ مَـرْفُـودًا
wal kullu ghadā bika masʿūdan
wal kullu ghadā bika marfūdan
Everyone became joyous because of you
Everyone was elevated through you
وَلَـقَـدْ آتَـيْـنَـا دَاوُودَ
مُـلْـكًـا قَـدْ أَحْـدَقَ بِـالْـعَـسْـكَـر
walaqad ātaynā dāwūda
mulkan qad aḥdaqa bil ʿaskar
Allah said, 'We surely gave Dāwūd a kingdom...
mighty and well-guarded by armies.'
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
قَـالَ الـلَّـهُ الْـمَـلِـكُ الأَكْـبَـر
إِنَّـا أَعْـطَـيْـنَـاكَ الْـكَـوْثَـرَ
qāla Allahul malikul akbar
innā aʿṭaynākal kawthara
Allah, the Almighty King, has said:
Indeed, We have given you al-Kawthar (O Muhammad ﷺ)
بِـكَ مُـلْـكُ الْـمَـوْلَـى قَـدْ فَـاقَ
وَازْدَادَ الـرُّسُـلُ إِشْـرَاقًـا
bika mulkul mawlā qad fāqa
waz dādar rusulu ishrāqan
Through you, Allah revealed the glory of His dominion
And by His will, the messengers were increased in light
وَأَخَـذْنَـا مِـنْـهُـمْ مِـيـثَـاقًـا
إِنْ جِـئْـتَ إِلَـيْـهِـمْ أَنْ تُـنْـصَـر
wa akhadhnā minhum mīthāqan
in ji’ta ilayhim an tunṣar
And Allah said: 'We took a solemn covenant from them—
That if you, O Muhammad ﷺ, were sent to them, they would surely support you.'
