سَــــــعْــــــدُنَــــــا فِــــــي الــــــدُّنْــــــيَــــــا
فَــــــوْزُنَــــــا فِــــــي الأُخْــــــرَى
saʿdunaā fiīl ddunyaā
fawzunaā fiīl ukhrā
Our felicity in this life
and our success in the next,
بِــــــخَــــــدِيــــــجَــــــةَ الــــــكُــــــبْــــــرَى
وَفَــــــاطِــــــمَــــــةِ الــــــزَّهْــــــرَاءْ
bikhadījatal kubrā
wa faāṭimatil zzahrā’
lays with Khadīja, the Great
and Fāṭima, the Radiant.
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الــــــمَــــــعْــــــرُوفْ
وَالــــــعَــــــطَــــــاءِ الــــــمَــــــأْلُــــــوفْ
yaā uhaylal maʿrūf
wal ʿaṭa’il maluwf
O Blessed people of goodness
and constant generostiy,
غَــــــارَةً لِــــــلــــــمَــــــلْــــــهُـــــــوفْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــي أَدْرَى
ghaāratan lilmalhuwf
innakum biī adrā
grant protection to this troubled one -
for you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الــــــمَــــــطْــــــلُــــــوبْ
وَ الــــــعَــــــطَــــــاءِ الــــــمَــــــوْهُــــــوبْ
yaā uhaylal maṭluwb
wal ʿaṭa’il mawhuwb
O Beloved people who possess what is desired
and the abundant gifts,
غَــــــارَةً لِــــــلــــــمَــــــكْــــــرُوبْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
ghaāratan lilmakrūb
innakum biī adrā
grant protection to this grieved one -
for you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الإِحْــــــسَــــــانْ
وَالــــــعَــــــطَــــــاءْ وَالــــــغُــــــفْــــــرَانْ
yaā uhaylal iḥsaān
wal ʿaṭa’ wal ghufrān
O Beloved people of favor
and of bounties and forgiveness,
غَــــــارَةً لِــــــلـــــحَــــــيْــــــرَانْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
ghaāratan lilḥayrān
innakum biī adrā
grant protection to this bewildered one -
for you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الإِسْــــــعَــــــادْ
وَالــــــعَــــــطَــــــاءْ وَالإِمْــــــدَادْ
yaā uhaylal isʿaād
wal ʿaṭa’ wal imdād
O Beloved people who grant felicity
and gifts and spiritual sustenance,
غَــــــارَةً يَــــــا أَسْــــــيَــــــادْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
ghaāratan yaā asyaād
innakum biī adrā
grant protection, O Masters,
for you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الإِسْــــــعَــــــافْ
وَالــــــعَــــــطَــــــاءْ ذِي هُــــــوْ وَافْ
yaā uhaylal isʿaāf
wal ʿaṭa’ dhī huw wa f
O Beloved people of urgent assistance
and blessings that are more than sufficient
أَمْــــــنَــــــةً لِــــــلـــــمُــــــخْــــــتَــــــافْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــهْ أَدْرَى
amnatan lilmukhtaāf
innakum bih adrā
grant safety to this fearful one -
for you know best about my state
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الــــــجَــــــاهَــــــاتْ
وَالــــــمِــــــنَــــــحْ لِــــــلـــــفَــــــاقَــــــــاتْ
yaā uhaylal jaāhaāt
wal minaḥ lilfaāqaāt
O Beloved people of noble status,
favors for the desperate,
وَالــــــدَّرَكْ لِــــــلــــــغَــــــارَاتْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
wal ddarak lilghaārāt
innakum biī adrā
and protection from attacks -
for you know best about my state
يَــــــا أُهَــــــيْــــــلَ الــــــهِــــــمَّــــــاتْ
يَــــــارِجَــــــالَ الــــــعَــــــزْمَــــــاتْ
yaā uhaylal himmaāt
yaārijaālal ʿazmaāt
O Beloved People of high aspiration.
O People of Determination.
يَــــــا جِــــــمَــــــالَ الــــــحَــــــمْــــــلَاتْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
yaā jimaālal ḥamlāt
innakum biī adrā
O Camels that bear away (people's) burdens.
Indeed, you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أَهْــــــلَ بَــــــيْــــــتِ الـــــمُــــــخْــــــتَــــــارْ
عَــــــالِــــــيِــــــــيـــــــنَ الــــــمِــــــقْــــــدَارْ
yaā ahla baytil mukhtaār
ʿaāliyiīnal miqdār
O People of the Household of the Chosen One
whose worth is of the highest value.
اِشْــــــفَــــــعُــــــوا لِــــــلــــــمُــــــحْــــــتَــــــارْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
āishfaʿuw lilmuḥtaār
innakum biī adrā
Intercede, for this confused one -
for you know best about my state.
يَــــــا أَهْــــــلَ بَــــــيْــــــتِ الــــــهَــــــادِي
قُــــــدْوَتِــــــي وَأَسْــــــيَــــــادِي
yaā ahla baytil haādī
qudwatiī wa asyaādī
O People of the Household of the Guide,
my leader and master,
أَجْــــــزِلُــــــوا لِــــــي زَادِي
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
ajziluw liī zādī
innakum biī adrā
grant me abundant provisions -
for you know best about my state.
قَــــــدْرُكُــــــمْ رَافِــــــعْ عَــــــالْ
وَعَــــــطَــــــاكُــــــمْ هَــــــطَّــــــالْ
qadrukum rāfiʿ ʿaāl
wa ʿaṭaākum haṭṭaāl
You station is lofty and exalted
and your favors pour forth like heavy rain.
وَسَــــــنَــــــاكُــــــمْ دَهْــــــبَــــــالْ
أَرْسِــــــلُــــــوا لِــــــي نَــــــهْــــــرًا
wa sanaākum dahbaāl
arsiluw liī nahran
Your radiance is great,
so send me a river
أَنْــــــتُــــــمُــــــوا خَــــــيــــــرُ الــــــنَّــــــاسْ
جُــــــودُكُــــــمْ يَــــــشْــــــفِــــــي الــــــبَــــــاسْ
antumuw khaīrul nnaās
juwdukum yashfiīl baās
You are the greatest of people.
Your generosity cures hardships.
اِشْــــــفْــــــعُــــــوا لِــــــلــــــقَـــــــسَّــــــاسْ
إِنَّــــــكُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
āishfʿuw lilqassaās
innakum biī adrā
Intercede for this sinful one -
for you know best about my state.
بِــــــخَــــــدِيــــــجَـــــــــةْ أُمِّــــــي
ذِي تُــــجَــــــلِّــــــي هَــــــمِّــــــي
bikhadījah ummiī
dhī tujalliī hammiī
By the rank of Khadīja, my mother,
who polishes away my sorrows
أَجْــــــزِلِــــــي لِــــــي قِــــــسْــــــمِــــــي
إِنَّـــــــكِ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
ajziliī liī qismiī
innaki biī adrā
grant me a portion that is abundant -
for you (O Khādija) know best about my state.
وَاهْــــــتِــــــفِــــــي بِــــــالــــــزَّهْــــــرَاءْ
ذِي تَــــــعَــــــالَــــــتْ قَــــــدْرًا
wa htifiī biālzzahrā’
dhī taʿaālat qadran
Call out to (Fāṭima,) the Radiant One
whose rank is loftiest
وَ تَــــــجَــــــلَّــــــتْ بَــــــدْرًا
إِنَّــــــهَـــــــا بِــــــي أَدْرَى
wa tajallat badran
innahaā biī adrā
and whose radiance is like the full moon -
for she knows best about my state.
وَأَبِــــــيــــــهَــــــا الــــــمُــــــخْــــــتَــــــارْ
وَالــــــمُــــــصَــــــاحِــــــبْ فِــــــي الــــــغَــــــارْ
wa abiīhaāl mukhtaār
wal muṣaāḥib fiīl ghaār
And by her Father, the Chosen One
and the one who accompanied Him in the cave,
وَعَــــــلــــــيِّ الــــــكَــــــرَّارْ
إِنَّــــــهُـــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
wa ʿalyyil karrār
innahum biī adrā
and by 'Ali, the one who stay back in His place -
for they all know best about my state.
وَبِــــــحَــــــقِّ الــــــسِّــــــبْــــــطَــــــيـْـــــنْ
لــــــلــــــنَّــــــبِــــــي نُــــــورِ الــــــعَــــــيْــــــنْ
wa biḥaqqil ssibṭaīn
llnnabiī nuwril ʿayn
And by the right of the two grandchildren
who were from the Prophet, the light of the eye.
وَبِــــــجَــــــاهِ الــــــعَــــــمَّـــــــيْـــــنْ
إِنَّــــــهُــــــمْ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
wa bijaāhil ʿammayn
innahum biī adrā
And by the rank of the two uncles ('Abbas and Hamza)
Indeed, they know best about my state.
وَبِــــــذَاتِ الــــــعِــــــلْــــــمَــــــيــــــنْ
عَــــــائِــــــشَــــــهْ نُــــــونِ الــــــعِــــــيْــــــنْ
wa bidhātil ʿilmaīn
ʿaā'ishah nuwnil ʿiyn
And by the one who possessed the two types of knowledge
and by 'Āisha the light of the eyes
زَوْجِ خَــــــيْــــــرِ الــــــكَــــــوْنَــــــيْــــــنْ
إنَّــــــهَـــــــا بِــــــي أَدْرَى
zawji khayril kawnayn
innahaā biī adrā
the wife of the greatest of the two created beings -
indeed, she knows best about my state.
وَاهْــــــلِ شِــــــعْــــــبِ الــــــمَــــــعْــــــلَاةْ
وَالَّــــــتِــــــي فِــــــي أَعْــــــلَاهْ
wa hli shiʿbil maʿlāh
wal latiī fiī aʿlāh
And by the people residing in M'alā
and especially she who resides at its peak.
حَــــــيِّ تِــــــلْــــــكَ الــــــمَــــــوْلَاةْ
سَــــــيِّــــــدِتْــــــنَــــــا الــــــكُــــــبْــــــرَى
ḥayyi tilkal mawlāh
sayyiditnaāl kubrā
greet this master
our leader, the Great (Khadīja).
وَبِــــــبَــــــاقِــــــي الأَزْوَاجْ
طَــــــيِّــــــبَــــــاتِ الآرَاجْ
wa bibaāqiīl azwāj
ṭayyibaātil 'ārāj
and by the remaining wives
who are purest in fragrance
مُــــــغْــــــنِــــــيَــــــاتِ الــــــمُــــــحْــــــتَــــــاجْ
إِنَّــــــهُـــــــنّ بِــــــي أَدْرَى
mughniyaātil muḥtaāj
innahunn biī adrā
who suffice all in need -
indeed, they know best about my state.
