Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Nyagasani, ha imigisha Umuhanuzi umuvugizi wacu Ahmed
Nyagasani, ha imigisha Umuhanuzi umutware wacu Muhammad
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Abantu bari batuye mu mwijima,
A glorious light have seen
Babonye urumuri ruhebuje
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Umuhanuzi w'Imana ubu yabagezeho,
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Turagusuhuza, Muhanuzi w'ukuri wa Allah,
Of prophecy the seal
Kashe y'ubuhanuzi
We read with reverence the Book,
Dusoma Igitabo twubashye cyane,
Thou wast sent to reveal
Icyo woherejwe guhishura
For thou the burden did'st remove,
Kuko wakuyeho umutwaro uremereye,
Idolatry's fell rod
Inkoni y'ubugome yo gusenga ibigirwamana
And in thy day the idols fell,
Kandi mu gihe cyawe ibigirwamana byaraguye,
Before the Sword of God
Imbere y'Inkota y'Imana
To bless Arabia and the world,
Kugira ngo uheshe umugisha Arabiya n'isi,
Most surely thou wast raised
Ni ukuri rwose waratoranyijwe
We'll sing thy praises evermore,
Tuzahora turirimba ibisingizo byawe,
Our Mustafa, the praised
Mustafa wacu, Uwasingijwe
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
Turarinda tubishishikariye n'ubwitonzi,
The seed that thou hast sown
Imbuto wewe ubwawe wabibye
And trust to hear the world declare,
Kandi twizeye kumva isi itangaza,
God's prophet as its own
