I envy the sand that met his feet
ຂ້າອິດສາເມັດຊາຍທີ່ໄດ້ສຳຜັດບາດຕີນເພິ່ນ
I’m jealous of honey he tasted sweet
ຂ້າອິດສານ້ຳເຜິ້ງທີ່ເພິ່ນໄດ້ລິ້ມລົດຫວານ
Of birds that hovered above his head
ອິດສາເຫຼົ່ານົກທີ່ບິນວົນເວີ່ນເໜືອສິຣະເພິ່ນ
Of spiders who spun their sacred web
ອິດສາແມງມຸມທີ່ຖັກທໍໃຍອັນສັກສິດ
To save him from his enemies
ເພື່ອປົກປັກຮັກສາເພິ່ນຈາກເຫຼົ່າສັດຕູ
I envy clouds formed from the seas
ຂ້າອິດສາມວນເມກທີ່ກໍ່ຕົວຈາກທະເລ
That gave him cover from the heat
ທີ່ຄອຍກຳບັງໃຫ້ເພິ່ນພົ້ນຈາກຄວາມຮ້ອນ
Of a sun whose light could not compete
ແຫ່ງດວງຕາເວັນທີ່ມີແສງບໍ່ອາດທຽບທຽມ
With his, whose face did shine so bright
ກັບແສງແຫ່ງໃບໜ້າເພິ່ນທີ່ຮຸ່ງເຮືອງເຫຼືອງເຫຼື້ອມ
That all was clear in blinding night
ຈົນທຸກສິ່ງກະຈ່າງແຈ້ງໃນລາຕີທີ່ມືດມົນ
I envy sightless trees that gazed
ຂ້າອິດສາພຶກສາທີ່ໄຮ້ເນດແຕ່ໄດ້ຈ້ອງມອງ
Upon his form completely dazed
ມາຍັງຮູບກາຍເພິ່ນດ້ວຍຄວາມງົງງວຍ
Not knowing if the sun had risen
ບໍ່ອາດຮູ້ໄດ້ວ່າດວງສຸລິຍາອຸໄທແລ້ວຫຼືບໍ່
But felt themselves in unison
ແຕ່ຮູ້ສຶກເຖິງຄວາມເປັນອັນໜຶ່ງອັນດຽວກັນ
With those who prayed, and fasted too
ກັບບັນດາຜູ້ທີ່ສວດມົນ ແລະ ຖືສິນອົດ
Simply because he told them to
ພຽງເພາະວ່າເພິ່ນໄດ້ສັ່ງສອນໃຫ້ກະທຳ
With truth and kindness, charity
ດ້ວຍສັດຈະທຳ, ຄວາມເມດຕາ ແລະ ການບໍລິຈາກ
From God who gave such clarity
ຈາກພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າຜູ້ປະທານຄວາມກະຈ່າງແຈ້ງ
His mercy comes in one He sent
ຄວາມເມດຕາຂອງພຣະອົງມາໃນຜູ້ທີ່ຊົງສົ່ງມາ
To mold our hearts more heaven bent
ເພື່ອຫຼໍ່ຫຼອມດວງໃຈເຮົາໃຫ້ມຸ່ງສູ່ສວງສະຫວັນ
I envy all there at his side
ຂ້າອິດສາທຸກຄົນທີ່ຢູ່ຄຽງຂ້າງເພິ່ນ
Who watched the turning of the tide
ຜູ້ທີ່ໄດ້ເຫັນການຜັນປ່ຽນຂອງຍຸກສະໄໝ
As truth prevailed and falsehood fled
ເມື່ອຄວາມຈິງຊະນະ ແລະ ຄວາມຕົວະກໍລາລັບ
And hope restored life to the dead
ແລະ ຄວາມຫວັງໄດ້ຄືນຊີວິດໃຫ້ແກ່ຜູ້ລ່ວງລັບ
Men and Women through him found grace
ທັງຊາຍແລະຍິງໄດ້ພົບຄວາມເມດຕາຜ່ານເພິ່ນ
To seek together God’s noble face
ເພື່ອຮ່ວມກັນສະແຫວງຫາພຣະພັກອັນປະເສີດ
I envy the cup that gave him drink
ຂ້າອິດສາຈອກທີ່ໄດ້ມອບນ້ຳດື່ມໃຫ້ເພິ່ນ
His thoughts that helped us all to think
ອິດສາຄວາມຄິດເພິ່ນທີ່ຊ່ວຍໃຫ້ເຮົາໄດ້ໄຕ່ຕອງ
To be one thought that passed his mind
ຢາກເປັນພຽງຄວາມຄິດໜຶ່ງທີ່ຜ່ານເຂົ້າໃນໃຈເພິ່ນ
Inspiring him to act so kind
ທີ່ດົນບັນດານໃຫ້ເພິ່ນກະທຳຢ່າງເມດຕາ
For me this world is not one jot
ສຳລັບຂ້າ ໂລກນີ້ຫາຄ່າບໍ່ໄດ້ແມ່ນແຕ່ໜ້ອຍ
If I could simply be a thought
ຫາກຂ້າສາມາດເປັນພຽງຄວາມຄິດໜຶ່ງ
From him to God throughout the ages
ຈາກເພິ່ນສູ່ພຣະເຈົ້າຕະຫຼອດທຸກຍຸກສະໄໝ
As revelation came in stages
ໃນຍາມທີ່ໂອງການທະຍອຍປະທານລົງມາ
I pity all who think it odd
ຂ້າສົມເພດທຸກຄົນທີ່ຄິດວ່າເປັນເລື່ອງແປກ
To hear him say there is one God
ທີ່ໄດ້ຍິນເພິ່ນກ່າວວ່າພຣະເຈົ້າມີພຽງອົງດຽວ
Or he was sent by God to men
ຫຼືວ່າເພິ່ນຖືກສົ່ງມາຈາກພຣະເຈົ້າສູ່ມວນມະນຸດ
To hone their spirits’ acumen
ເພື່ອຂັດເກົາສະຕິປັນຍາແຫ່ງດວງວິນຍານ
It’s pride that blinds us from the sight
ແມ່ນຄວາມທະນົງຕົວທີ່ເຮັດໃຫ້ເຮົາມືດບອດ
That helps good men to see his light
ທີ່ກີດກັນຄົນດີບໍ່ໃຫ້ເຫັນແສງທຳຂອງເພິ່ນ
He taught us all to be God’s slaves
ເພິ່ນສອນໃຫ້ເຮົາທຸກຄົນເປັນບ່າວຮັບໃຊ້ພຣະເຈົ້າ
And he will be the one who saves
ແລະ ເພິ່ນຈະເປັນຜູ້ທີ່ຄອຍຊ່ວຍເຫຼືອ
Humanity from sinful pride
ມວນມະນຸດຈາກຄວາມທະນົງຕົວທີ່ບາບໜາ
Muhammad has God on his side
ມຸຮຳມັດ ມີພຣະເຈົ້າຢູ່ຄຽງຂ້າງສະເໝີ
So on this day be blessed and sing
ດັ່ງນັ້ນໃນວັນນີ້ ຈົ່ງໄດ້ຮັບພອນແລະຂັບຂານ
For he was born to grace our Spring
ເພາະເພິ່ນເກີດມາເພື່ອໃຫ້ພອນແກ່ລະດູໃບໄມ້ປົ່ງ
With lilies, flowers, life’s rebirth
ດ້ວຍດອກລິລີ່, ມວນດອກໄມ້, ການເກີດໃໝ່ຂອງຊີວິດ
In a dome of green like his on earth
ພາຍໃຕ້ໂດມສີຂຽວຄືດັ່ງຂອງເພິ່ນເທິງແຜ່ນດິນ
