Laoidh don Fhàidh ﷺ

Transliterate

Translation

Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad

A Thighearna, beannaich am Fàidh, ar n-eadar-ghuidheadair Ahmad

A Thighearna, beannaich am Fàidh, ar maighstir Muhammad

The people that in darkness dwelt,

An sluagh a bha a’ còmhnaidh ann an dorchadas,

A glorious light have seen

Chunnaic iad solas glòrmhor

God's prophet now to them hath come,

Tha Fàidh Dhè a-nis air tighinn thuca,

Muhammad, Al-Amin

We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,

Tha sinn a’ cur fàilte ort, a fhìor Fhàidh Allah,

Of prophecy the seal

Seula na fàidheadaireachd

We read with reverence the Book,

Thou wast sent to reveal
