Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Velsign, o Herre, profeten Ahmad, vor forbeder
Velsign, o Herre, profeten Muhammad, vor herre
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Det folk, der i mørket dvælede,
A glorious light have seen
Har skuet et herligt lys
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Guds profet er nu kommet til dem,
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Vi hylder dig, Allahs sande profet,
Of prophecy the seal
Profetiens segl
We read with reverence the Book,
Vi læser Bogen med ærefrygt,
Thou wast sent to reveal

For thou the burden did'st remove,

Idolatry's fell rod

And in thy day the idols fell,

Before the Sword of God

To bless Arabia and the world,

Most surely thou wast raised

We'll sing thy praises evermore,

We watch with gentle, fostering care,

The seed that thou hast sown
