Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Benedisci, o mo Signore, u Prufeta u nostru intercessore Ahmad
Benedisci, o mo Signore, u Prufeta u nostru maestru Muhammad
The people that in darkness dwelt,
U populu chì in l’oscurità dimurava,
A glorious light have seen
Una luce gluriosa hà vistu
God's prophet now to them hath come,
U prufeta di Diu hè avà ghjuntu à elli,
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Ti salutemu, veru Prufeta d’Allah,
Of prophecy the seal
Di a prufezia u sigillu
We read with reverence the Book,
Leghjimu cù riverenza u Libru,
Thou wast sent to reveal
Chì tù fusti mandatu à palesà
For thou the burden did'st remove,
Perchè tù u pesu ai livatu,
Idolatry's fell rod
A verga funesta di l’idulatria
And in thy day the idols fell,
È in u to tempu l’iduli cascànu,
Before the Sword of God
Davanti à a Spada di Diu
To bless Arabia and the world,
Per benedì l’Arabia è u mondu,
Most surely thou wast raised
Di sicuru fusti elevatu
We'll sing thy praises evermore,
Canteremu e to lode per sempre,
Our Mustafa, the praised
U nostru Mustafa, u ludatu
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
Fighjemu cù cura dolce è premurosa,
The seed that thou hast sown
A semente chì tù ai suminatu
And trust to hear the world declare,
È speremu di sente u mondu dichjarà,
God's prophet as its own
