Anthem for the Prophet ﷺ
Orin Ìyìn fún Wòlíì ﷺ
Yo
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Olúwa mi rọ̀jò ìkíni sí Ànábì alárinà wa Àhmed
Olúwa mi rọ̀jò ìkíni sí Ànábì ọ̀gá wa Muhammad
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Àwọn ènìyàn tí ó ń gbé nínú òkùnkùn,
A glorious light have seen
Ti rí ìmọ́lẹ̀ ológo kan
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Ànábì Ọlọ́run ti dé sọ́dọ̀ wọn nísinsìnyí,
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
A kí ọ, Ànábì òtítọ́ ti Allāhu,
Of prophecy the seal
Èdìdì iṣẹ́ àsọtẹ́lẹ̀
We read with reverence the Book,
A ń ka Ìwé náà pẹ̀lú ọ̀wọ̀ gíga,
Thou wast sent to reveal
Èyí tí a rán ọ láti ṣípayá
For thou the burden did'st remove,
Nítorí ìwọ ni o gbé ẹrù náà kúrò,
Idolatry's fell rod
Ọ̀pá ìyà ti ìbọ̀rìṣà
And in thy day the idols fell,
Àti pé ní àsìkò rẹ ni àwọn òrìṣà wólẹ̀,
Before the Sword of God
Níwájú idà ti Ọlọ́run
To bless Arabia and the world,
Láti bùkún Arabia àti gbogbo àgbáyé,
Most surely thou wast raised
Dájúdájú a gbé ọ dìde
We'll sing thy praises evermore,
A ó máa kọ orin ìyìn rẹ títí láé,
Our Mustafa, the praised
Mustafa wa, ẹni tí a ń yìn
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
A ń ṣọ́ pẹ̀lú ìtọ́jú jẹ́jẹ́ àti ìfẹ́,
The seed that thou hast sown
Irúgbìn tí ìwọ ti gbìn
And trust to hear the world declare,
Pẹ̀lú ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé láti gbọ́ kí ayé kéde,
God's prophet as its own
Ànábì Ọlọ́run gẹ́gẹ́ bí tirẹ̀
