Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Min Herre, välsigna Profeten, vår medlare Ahmed
Min Herre, välsigna Profeten, vår mästare Muhammad
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Det folk som i mörkret dvaldes
A glorious light have seen
Ett strålande ljus har skådat
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Guds profet har nu till dem kommit
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Vi hyllar dig, Allahs sanne profet
Of prophecy the seal
Profetskapets sigill
We read with reverence the Book,
Vi läser med vördnad den bok
Thou wast sent to reveal
Som du sändes att uppenbara
For thou the burden did'st remove,
Ty du avlägsnade bördan
Idolatry's fell rod
Avgudadyrkans grymma gissel
And in thy day the idols fell,
Och i din tid föll avgudarna
Before the Sword of God
Inför Guds svärd
To bless Arabia and the world,
För att välsigna Arabien och världen
Most surely thou wast raised
Blev du sannerligen upprest
We'll sing thy praises evermore,
Vi skall besjunga ditt lov evinnerligen
Our Mustafa, the praised
Vår Mustafa, den prisade
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
Vi vakar med mild och vårdande omsorg
The seed that thou hast sown
Över fröet som du har sått
And trust to hear the world declare,
Och litar på att få höra världen förkunna
God's prophet as its own
