A aniquilação é inevitável; a Soberania pertence a Allah
مَـلَـكَـنِـي هَـوَاكُـمْ عَـذَّبَـنِـي
وَزَادَنِـي شَـوْقًا وَ قَـلَـقَا
O Vosso amor possuiu-me e atormentou-me,
Aumentando o meu anseio e a minha inquietude
الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ يَـا مَـوْلَانَـا
لَا بُـدَّ مِـن فَـنَـاء الْـمُـلْـكُ يَـبْـقَـى لِـلَّـه
Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, ó nosso Senhor!
A aniquilação é inevitável; a Soberania pertence a Allah
الْـنَّـوَى وَالْـبَـيْـنُ أَقْـلَـقَـنِـي
وَغَـشِـيَ الْـقَـلْـبُ وَ إِحْـتَـرَقَ
A distância e a separação inquietaram-me,
E o coração foi obscurecido e consumido pelo fogo
الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ الـلَّـهْ يَـا مَـوْلَانَـا
لَا بُـدَّ مِـن فَـنَـاء الْـمُـلْـكُ يَـبْـقَـى لِـلَّـه
Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, ó nosso Senhor!

بِـثَـوْبِ رِضَـاكُـمْ كَـفِّـنُـونِـي
بِـبَـابِ حِمَاكُمْ أَلْـحِـدُونِـي
Com o manto do Vosso agrado, envolvei-me,
E ao limiar da Vossa porta, sepultai-me

لَا بُـدَّ مِـن فَـنَـاء الْـمُـلْـكُ يَـبْـقَـى لِـلَّـه

وَاكْـتُـبُـوا عَـلَى قَـبْـرِي وَرَقَـةْ
هَـذَا مُـحِـبٌّ قَـدِ احْـتَـرَقْ
E escrevei sobre a minha tumba uma nota,
"Este é um amante que ardeu em anseio"
