Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Min Herre, velsign profeten Ahmad, vår talsmann
Min Herre, velsign profeten Muhammad, vår mester
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Det folket som i mørket dvelte
A glorious light have seen
Har sett et strålende lys
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Guds profet er nå kommet til dem
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Vi hyller deg, Allahs sanne profet
Of prophecy the seal
Profetiens segl
We read with reverence the Book,
Vi leser boken med ærbødighet
Thou wast sent to reveal

For thou the burden did'st remove,
For du fjernet byrden
Idolatry's fell rod
Avgudsdyrkelsens grusomme svøpe
And in thy day the idols fell,

Before the Sword of God
For Guds sverd
To bless Arabia and the world,

Most surely thou wast raised

We'll sing thy praises evermore,

Our Mustafa, the praised

We watch with gentle, fostering care,

The seed that thou hast sown

And trust to hear the world declare,
