Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Velsign, min Herre, profeten, vår talsmann Ahmed
Velsign, min Herre, profeten, vår meister Muhammad
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Folket som i mørkret budde,
A glorious light have seen
har eit herleg ljos sett
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Guds profet har no til dei kome,
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, den trufaste Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Vi helsar deg, Allahs sanne profet,
Of prophecy the seal
du som er profetias insegl
We read with reverence the Book,
Vi les Boka med djup vørdnad,
Thou wast sent to reveal

For thou the burden did'st remove,
For du tok den tunge børa bort,
Idolatry's fell rod
avgudsdyrkingas gruelege ris
And in thy day the idols fell,

Before the Sword of God

To bless Arabia and the world,
Til signing for Arabia og verda,
Most surely thou wast raised

We'll sing thy praises evermore,

Our Mustafa, the praised
vår Mustafa, den høgt lova
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
Vi vakar med mild og nærande omsorg,
The seed that thou hast sown
over frøet som du har sådd
And trust to hear the world declare,
Og vi trur at verda skal forkynna,
God's prophet as its own
