Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Ṣalli rabbī ʿala n-nabiyyi, shafīʿinā Aḥmad
Benedic, mi Domine, Prophetae Ahmed intercessori nostro
Benedic, mi Domine, Prophetae Muhammad domino nostro
The people that in darkness dwelt,
Populus qui in tenebris habitabat
A glorious light have seen
Lucem gloriosam viderunt
God's prophet now to them hath come,
Propheta Dei iam ad eos venit
Muhammad, Al-Amin
Muhammad, Al-Amin
We hail thee, Allah's Prophet true,
Te salutamus, o Dei Propheta vere
Of prophecy the seal
Prophetiae sigillum
We read with reverence the Book,
Librum cum reverentia legimus
Thou wast sent to reveal
Quem missus es patefacere
For thou the burden did'st remove,
Nam tu onus sustulisti
Idolatry's fell rod
Idololatriae diram virgam
And in thy day the idols fell,
Et diebus tuis idola ceciderunt
Before the Sword of God
Coram Gladio Dei
To bless Arabia and the world,
Ut Arabiam et mundum benedicas
Most surely thou wast raised
Profecto excitatus es
We'll sing thy praises evermore,
Laudes tuas canemus in aeternum
Our Mustafa, the praised
Mustafa noster, ille laudatus
We watch with gentle, fostering care,
Vigilamus cura miti et foventi
The seed that thou hast sown
Super semen quod seminasti
And trust to hear the world declare,
Et mundum declaraturum esse confidimus
God's prophet as its own
Prophetam Dei ut suum
