I envy the sand that met his feet
Həsəd aparıram o qum dənəsinə
I’m jealous of honey he tasted sweet
Qibtə edirəm o şirin bala
Of birds that hovered above his head
Başı üzərində süzən quşlara
Of spiders who spun their sacred web
Müqəddəs torunu hörmüş hörümçəyə
To save him from his enemies
Onu düşmənlərindən hifz etmək üçün
I envy clouds formed from the seas
Dənizlərdən qalxan buludlara mən
That gave him cover from the heat
Onu qorudular qızmar istidən
Of a sun whose light could not compete
Günəşin nuru belə sönük qaldı
With his, whose face did shine so bright
Onun camalından doğan parlaqlıq
That all was clear in blinding night
Hər şey aydın oldu zülmət gecədə
I envy sightless trees that gazed
Kor olan ağaclara həsəd edirəm
Upon his form completely dazed
Onun hüsnü qarşısında məst olub
Not knowing if the sun had risen
Bilmədən günəşin doğub-doğmadığını
But felt themselves in unison
Lakin hiss etdilər eyni bir ruhu
With those who prayed, and fasted too
Dua edənlərlə, oruc tutanlarla
Simply because he told them to
Sırf o buyurduğu, o dediyi üçün
With truth and kindness, charity
Həqiqət, mərhəmət və sədəqə ilə
From God who gave such clarity
Rəbdən gələn o uca aydınlıqla
His mercy comes in one He sent
Onun rəhməti göndərilən o kəslə
To mold our hearts more heaven bent
Bizim ruhumuzu göylərə bənd edib
I envy all there at his side
Onun yanında olan hər bir kəsə
Who watched the turning of the tide
Zamanın axarının dəyişdiyini
As truth prevailed and falsehood fled
Haqq zahir olub batil qaçarkən
And hope restored life to the dead
Ümid ölülərə can bağışlarkən
Men and Women through him found grace
Kişilər və qadınlar onun sayəsində
To seek together God’s noble face
Allahın vəchini birgə arayıb
I envy the cup that gave him drink
İçdiyi o camın bəxtinə bax sən
His thoughts that helped us all to think
Bizə yol göstərən dərin fikrinə
To be one thought that passed his mind
Onun zehnindən keçən bir xəyal
Inspiring him to act so kind
Ona o şəfqəti ilham eləyən
For me this world is not one jot
Mənim üçün dünya bir zərrə deyil
If I could simply be a thought
Kaş ki mən çevrilib bir fikir olub
From him to God throughout the ages
Ondan Allaha doğru ucalan
As revelation came in stages
Vəhy mənzil-mənzil nazil olanda
I pity all who think it odd
Bunu qəribə sayan kəslərə mən
To hear him say there is one God
"Allah təkdir" nidasını duyarkən
Or he was sent by God to men
Yaxud onun elçi gəldiyinə mən
To hone their spirits’ acumen
Ruhun bəsirətin oyatmaq üçün
It’s pride that blinds us from the sight
Bizi kor eləyən yalnız təkəbbür
That helps good men to see his light
Yaxşıların yolun kəsən o qürur
He taught us all to be God’s slaves
O bizə Allahın qulu olmağı
And he will be the one who saves
Odur bəşər üçün xilas yolunu
Humanity from sinful pride
İnsanlığı qurtaracaq qürurdan
Muhammad has God on his side
Məhəmmədin yari uca Yaradan
So on this day be blessed and sing
Bu mübarək gündə oxuyun nəğmə
For he was born to grace our Spring
Baharımızı zinətləndirmək üçün
With lilies, flowers, life’s rebirth
Zambaqlar, çiçəklər, həyat oyanır
In a dome of green like his on earth
